This is the first year I will be going to WDW with my husband. This is also his first trip! Any ideas on how to make it extra special for him? Us? What are some of your favorite romantic places or things to do in WDW?

We always find the fireworks and parades very romantic, especially Wishes. We also love to take a gentle stroll around the World Showcase at dusk, just as all of the lights are coming on and take in the view across the lake! Sitting in "Writers Corner" and sharing a double choc chip muffin before going to see Fantasmic is another or our faves, or sharing a cookie whilst watching the ducks....

Wherever you go, you will find something special to do. Have fun!!!

For us it is just the time together without our kids screaming in our ears. :ROFLOL:But we also enjoy romantic dinners, late night swims and watching the fireworks. Have a great time.

A carriage ride around PO, you can do this whether you're staying there or not. A boat ride to watch the EWP &/or Wishes. Dinner at V & A. Share a glass of wine or ice cream along the water at DTD or on the Bridge over Hourglass Lake at PC. An afterhours dip in the pool or hotub. Sharing a glass of wine & cheese & crackers on a sidewalk in France at Epcot. Enjoying the slow ride on SSE and sending an e-mail of your ride home to enjoy the experience all over again when you get there.

I proposed in the Rose Garden at the Castle, so each trip, we always stop at the ice cream shop for a treat and eat it down on the boat dock in the Rose Garden. Best to do it late, as the park is starting to close. The crowds are thinning and the park starts to quiet down. One of our all time favorite places to be/things to do! Have fun!

How do you get to do the carriage ride? Do you know the cost?

Thanks!

My fiance at the time....now my wife....really loved our dinner at the California Grill and watching wishes after dinner from atop the contemporary.

Most of the things we did were just relaxing, doing what we wanted when we wanted.

It was the first time for both of us without the rest of our family.

Concourse was def. awesome but there are still many others. How about dinner at Narcoossee's during Wishes or the Water Pageant? That would be very romantic and sweet.

Make sure you call Disney and let them know it is your husbands first trip. Maybe they'll say something when you check in and he can get a button to wear.:o

If he is into sports, you could surprise him and make a Rich Petty driving experience reservation.

There are so many romantic things....DEF do the Spirit of Aloha show. They even do special things for people celebrating weddings and anniversaries etc.

Just about anything in the World Showcase at EPCOT is romantic. My husband and I always do the wine tasting in Germany. Le Cellier is also a very romantic restaurant.

Sit right by the water for Illuminations. That is very romantic.

We have our favorite little kiosk in France where they sell the Grey Goose lemon slush and the Grand Marnier orange slush. Our little tradition is to get one of those and go sit in France near the pastry shop and just watch people.

We also really enjoy sitting by the pool in the evenings. Many times it is a lot quieter and most of the little kids have long gone to bed.

I cannot think of one place where we cannot find something romantic to do!

It's amazing how a place so geared and thought of as a place for kids can be such a romantic get-away for adults.

We love dining at EPCOT. World Showcase has some wonderful restaurants (along with the Living Seas). Fireworks from the Poly, the Grand Floridian lobby, the Luau, the rose garden at the castle, and the list can go on and on.
