Romance in Disney

When are you going? There are plenty of things to do (depending on what time of year you're going). You can do a horse carriage ride at the WL. You can do a Illuminations or Wishes cruise. Eating at a few romantic restaurants like CR, Le Cellier, AP, etc.

You can make a lot of things Romantic at Disney.

A few things:

As many have mentioned the horse carriage ride at Port Orleans is great.

The Wishes fireworks, you can do two ways. Either standing on the street, you can hold each other and watch them, or get reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table for later in the evening. If you are two people you get a seat next to the window. They turn down the lights when the show starts and you can sit inside and watch them together. Of course you have to not care that there are a lot of other people around, but it's very nice.

Heck, even the slow dark rides can be romantic if you try. Pretty much anything can.

Not sure if you would find this romantic or not, but when I worked MK graveyard security, guests would sit at the Hub and wait for the Kiss Goodnight. Sometimes you can also see a proposal happen.

Kiss Goodnight times:

Mon - Thu & Sat: 12am, 12:30 am, 1am
Sun & Fri: 2am, 2:30 am, 3am

What is the Goodnight Kiss??

Ya'll do realize that she was asking for our help back in July. Chances are she has already gone and come home.

Doesn't mean she can't get new ideas for another trip. Romance at WDW isn't a one time thing, ya know. I would hope not anyways... :lookaroun

I agree with Mattyon the california grill idea. Also Narcoosees is an over the water, windows on all sides restaurant at the Grand Fla and although it is bar like the views of the water and the boats coming in and out of the dock are awesome. It is kind of secluded as it is tucked back in the property of the Grand Fla but it is a nice place. You can catch a boat ride to the poly just outside of the restaurant and catch wishes from the beach. I reccomend the beach by the luau cove. If you go by boat It is a great walk with the torch lit paths, and polynesian music. It definately has a romantic feel. Just my 2 cents and have a blast!

I would say talk a walk on the beach at the Polynesian Hotel. You can see Wishes from there and there are some quiet spots away from the part of beach across from the pool. Kind of a tropical romance vibe. Plus the castle, the Contemporary and the Grand Floridian look so pretty from the Poly beach at night.
Also, if you are looking for a splurge, do a couples massage at the spa in the Grand Floridian. I have never done that before but it always seems so tempting. I am sure it is a lot of $$$$ though.

I've never been there without kids, so romance always takes a back seat. Having said that, we did the math, at least one of my 5 kids was conceived there. Romance in that case was sending the kids to bed and sipping wine on the balcony as a prelude to other private activities.

can anyone use the benches and hammocks at Poly? I am not staying there. The night I go to Ohana, the fireworks start an hour before our ADRs and I want to sit on the beach with my boyfriend and give him a gift.
