Quetzalcoatl is an Aztec god and this Indy ride specifically takes place in a Maya temple, so I don’t see Quetzalcoatl being featured!I still stand by that it will be Quetzalcoatl..Indy hates snakes! And now Serpents..

Those are the jaws of Xibalba, the Maya underworld!along with a tusked being at the base...![]()
It could be Kukulkán. I'm not sure of the technical term, but it could be said that it's a similar deity. I might ask my sister for more information or sources about Kukulkán later.I still stand by that it will be Quetzalcoatl..Indy hates snakes! And now Serpents..

Minus the animal comment, I honestly think that's good. The bones have always been fine in the areas that weren't Dino-Rama. Efficiency is a good path forward with this. While I 100% think this will be a very successful transition, they're reeeeaaaalllly doing very, very little to the existing structures. The Institute's facade mostly remains just behind the new temple weenie, and Restaurantosaurus survives with just about everything but the Quonset hut. Also, it's difficult to find the "garden" animal exhibits in the model... that's a bit concerning.
I know this isn’t a big deal to everyone, but this really bums me out. This is a favorite of all my kids, and it wasn’t unusual for us to spend a couple hours there each visit. Also we would be losing the Boneyard which is an excellent area for the younger set.
Are there going to be animal exhibits? Doesn't seem like there are any on the model and no one has talked about it.While I 100% think this will be a very successful transition, they're reeeeaaaalllly doing very, very little to the existing structures. I think Dinosaur will be the last thing to close. They said construction will start in phases. It makes me think we will see walls go up in Dinoland with a pathway leading to Dinosaur. My cousin is asking me if he'll be able to ride Dinosaur when he goes to WDW in January. Could the 'Fall 2024' start date mean a close for Dinosaur or just land work? Sorry if this has been answered, been working and will catch up on the thread later
This makes me feel a bit better about its cohesiveness with AK.
The Indy ride at DL is one of the most popular rides in the park still and that’s a park with a whole lot more attractions than AK. This ride won’t be a clone of that one but the IP is still very popular. The concept art for Indy is for sure the same vehicle as Dinosaur. I know we already know all this, but how ridiculous that they cannot come up with something new, and are just doing a reskin. What's the point? Is that really going to draw that many more people than Dinosaur?
Hopefully, it is executed very well. But I'm scared of a bare minimum reskin.
