Correct…whether or not TBA is equal, better or worse than Splash, it won’t matter because it will still be an E ticket in the park. The argument will continue LONG after we’re gone…I’ll be honest, if it’s subpar, I’ll still ride it considering I’m in the park for the day…the question will be if we ride it several times per day(like we did with splash), or treat it like iasw…

With what crowds? Bookings are so soft they’re offering deals to Canadians.

Truly the end times. But this was pretty normal annually pre-pandemic. For both WDW and Disneyland. I was holding Canadian Resident tickets for May 2020.

I think they could put almost anything in Splash Mountain and folks would line up all day long because of the drops, thrill factor, and the final 50+ ft splashdown.

And the fact that it feels like 105° nearly every afternoon in the summer. Some relief from the weather is a major factor

Some may say it is, but given the movement it was capable of, and the complexities that went it to creating it and the rig, I’d give it special consideration.

They were likely going off of outdated plans and information. Most of what has come out since suggests that everything being used for this attraction was fabricated specifically for it. I’d love to be proven wrong but it’s not looking likely. 10 at most for Disneyland, and only the possums (and a frog or two) at WDW if anything.

I mean, honestly, the whole project is sloppy and haphazard, and I wouldn't be surprised if everything changes twice a day on it.

Is a VQ even practical for a ride like this? I understand that demand will undoubtedly be high when it reopens, but we already know the queue has a pretty decent capacity for multi-hour long waits, provided there aren't extensive changes to the layout. Splash Mountain was always one of those rides you'd hit in the middle of the day or first thing in the morning to beat the heat. What's going to happen to the family who wakes up at 7 AM to secure their spot, and then gets a return time for the evening? Most people don't want to get soaked with no chance to dry off right before leaving the park for the day. It's why the ride always had little to no wait towards the end of the night, especially during the colder months. We can assume that the queue has the capacity for it, so wouldn't it just be better to have this one go standby sooner rather than later?

Not a huge deal but the juxtaposition of those artificial leaves with the moss and some of the real greenery in the foreground make them look artificial. Makes them look a bit too bright/ glossy. I don’t get that with the other views. Could also be the cloudy lighting

Ratatouille did have a VQ when it first opened, though I think only for about 3-4 months.

I'm sure Tiana will have one as well. Seems like that's just going to be the new normal going forward with either new or redone attractions. I expect it to have very very long lines, especially for the first year or more of operation. Though it will be interesting to see if this persists even through the winter season.
