Zootopia at Animal Kingdom?

that’s not what I meant! Currently there are no plans for a Zootopia attraction in WDW as far as I know, as far as I can see (which is quite a way).

What I was looking for :)

Thanks Martin!

Just wanted some clarification as it could have been taken the way I suggested (I'm not pushing for a Zootopia presence; but I wouldn't hate it - in the right park - but I can see why it isn't a part of their plans; but I still don't think popularity has anything to do with it, but what do I know? LOL).

You’re welcome.

I’ll just say again though that I’m not the orcacle; maybe there is but I don’t know about it (and considering I’m not involved in any of these decisions it’s not outside the realms of possibility that it could happen but I wouldn’t know!)

Well that's true. I always say "never say never" because we know plans can change on a dime. But it's good to know (either way) that no long-term plans seem to exist, at the moment. There was just some speculation on both sides that I'm glad was shut down, lol.

But who knows? They seem to often fly by the seat of their pants (at least it's how it comes across).

Zootopia's one of those properties that just fell in the wrong time and was overshadowed. I'm really surprised an Asia park isn't getting anything (not that you said either way but isn't it fairly popular over in the parks?)

Silly boy that's crazy talk!

I wonder if there's another reason we don't need to talk about why there isn't a M&G at WDW? They do a really poor job with that. Meanwhile, you can walk into Disneyland and say, snap a picture with you know, Redd, Dr. Facilier, amongst others. ... I see on twitter a lot, them getting knocked for this kind of thing but they never do anything to correct it.

Let's have Jose and Panchito dance with you but sorry they aren't going to be a meet and greet!

I mean "Pinocchio" and "Baloo and Louie" (who were just cut earlier this year!) are now "rare". How sad is that? They're pulled out for photopass day when 10 years ago Pinocchio was meeting daily in Town Square by Tony's. Clarabelle and Horace were out. You could meet Hook and Smee in Adventureland ...

Maybe if they stopped making everyone "rare" there wouldn't be such a demand for meet and greets when they are. Another case of "they don't get it"

And why are meet and greets considered part of entertainment? I sort of get it but shouldn't that be separate at the end of the day?

My understanding is that Imagineering and the Art team for Zootopia have had discussions but nothing is imminent.

My guess continues to be they're struggling with where to put it and how to represent it. Simulator (yeah, I know ...) is their best bet, should they ever do anything with Zootopia. It would need to be a streets of america type land to really do it justice and even that might not be enough. I don't think they've written it off like some think, it's just not a priority to get anywhere right now. They have other plans and agendas.
