Just got my docs too! Staying onsite for the first time was definitely my best Disney experience ... of course, I did get engaged on that trip. That could have had something to do with it I suppose ... ;) We've got our 3rd onsite visit coming up next month!!

I just received two packets last week for my trip next month! I was so excited when I saw them. :ROFLOL: This is the first time that I've planned my own trip to Disney, so I was wondering if anyone knew how many things Disney usually sends out prior?

Me too! Those dvds get me every time. We know for sure we're going and still watch them. And now cablevision has that nifty Disney travel channel to tempt us further. :ROFLOL:

Other than the normal reservation information you will also get a small booklet that has park maps and other information and luggage tags for each person in your party. I think that's about it, if I didn't forget something. I always make sure to take my letter with me showing that everything is paid off so I wont have any problems. :)

Oh I miss getting "The Packet" from Disney..Looking at it what seems 1000 times before the trip .We're DVC members so no packet for us anymore  So now I either go on the site and take a peek at our home reservations or look at the print outs of our airline tickets....although I am waiting right now for our Magical Express tickets...

42 more days to go...till I get my "fix"....

I love when anything comes. Every time you make a payment they send you a letter confirming it. I'm not allowed to open it until we're (DD, DH and me)all home. Even tho we know it's just a confirmation letter.:D

Congrats and have fun!! On site is the best.

For those of you who have done this all before:

If your packet (with luggage tags and such) doesn't arrive when you are expecting it, how long should you wait before calling WDW and letting them know you haven't gotten anything?

I just recently moved, and even though I told them my new address, I don't want anything to get lost in the mail that I might need for the trip!

Check with them when get within 30 days. Typically (assuming you've paid the total) you should receive the paperwork between 45-30 days before arrival.

Thanks Celticdog, I have been paid in full since April, so I will make sure to call them around 30 days to make sure everything is on the up and up.

Still very envious of those of you with your packets. I want something to open!!!!:brick:

I'm right with you. I arrive Sept. 14th and haven't gotten anything. However, I only just paid it off on the 31st, so that might explain why I haven't gotten anything yet for me.

I thought all we would get was a confirmation letter because they told us we would get our travel documents about 40 days before we arrive,we got the last letter about that time (more detailed) I figured that was it.. so when the packet arrived I wasn't expecting it and thrilled! It was closer to 30 days before our trip when it arrived.
