What I can't understand is that it looks like XM is getting the best of the Sirius channels and then Sirius is getting nothing in return? If Sirius doesn't add anything for us, then it would make much more sense to switch to XM and still basically get everything you wanted from Sirius plus the best that XM has to offer.

This is confusing... I think it is merged accross the board... not just XM.

I believe Sirius will have the same lineup? :confused: :shrug:

Oh so you think that the Music stations will be the same for Sirius and XM now and that the only difference will be between the Sports/Talk/Premium Channels? If that's the case, then great. That means Sirius will be getting a 90's channel, a 2000's channel, and Cinemagic (which were the only XM channels I was interested in). But in order to get the NFL and Stern, you would have to get "The Best Of..." package and the vice versa for NHL/NBA/MLB and Oprah. If this is the case, then it all makes sense. But there haven't been any updates about the new Sirius lineup so nobody knows for sure.

For example, do you guys think that channels 1-89 on the new XM lineup will be exactly the same for Sirius? If so, I'm very happy.

So as FAR as I know... XM and DirectTV subscribers are getting the new line up tomorrow... and Best of Sirius thats remains the same... thats an up charge.

As far a Sirius subscribers / radio owners' goes... I am still confused. I dont think anything is happening there. :shrug:

Well I guess we'll find out tomorrow. And if nothing does happen with the Sirius lineup, then I think you would be crazy not to go with XM in the future.

LOL I know right? Well... its the same company but yeah... just get a XM Radio... and update your sub with the XM reciever radio number...lol :lol: :shrug:

What makes this so confusing... is that they are doing this very hush hush... they have not said anything publicly yet. So people turning on XM tomorrow will be all "WTH?!" :lol:

If I hadn't read it here...I'd be one of those that would be saying WTH?!?!?! :lol:

I was so confused when No Shoes Radio went off the air...and I didn't know why until I came here :lol:

Ok... so I spun around the Satellite dial this morning... and not bad.

However Ch 55 Margaritaville audio sounds muddy to me... the same can be said for channel 49 (Classic Rewind), and Ch 54, and Ch 45 a lil' bit. It sounds almost as if its being brodcast in mono... but its not. Its hard to describe... its like its not being processed correctly... so its not as crisp sounding as the channels before it were. :(

I dunno... perhaps they bumped down the alloted bandwith for those channels... I havent put my finger on it yet. :-\ This is day 1 for those channels though... so I will give it a little time.

Also... I am happy that Channel 49 is Dj'ed now. Yay! Sounding pretty good!. :king:

I think Sirius XM did a great job with the new channel lineup. Now if someone wants satellite radio, they can just choose which premium content interests them more. Or if they have no interest in Sports, Stern, etc. they can just go with whichever player they can get the best deal on. Both services will have basically the same music.

Yep... so far so good... like I said... I am pleased. :)

BTW... the audio issue I spoke about yesterday... seems to be gone. Everything was nice and crisp this morning.

It could of just been the buffer in my receiver. Because all the new channel Pad data was still d'loading and refreshing on my drive into work yesterday morning. So.. taking all that new XML data... and uncompressing it... was taxing my system a bit me thinks.
