Worst places to propose at WDW

I disagree 100%. Every spot has a different meaning to each couple. So while some many be surprised on the beaches of the Poly, others may be surprised at the castle. Someone could spend a lot of time planning the perfect proposal in front of the castle, and although you may think it's a bit cleshay, the other person can still be surprised.

I'm sorry man but when something has happened at a certain spot a million times before there is no real surprise factor when it happens for the million and first time.

It's not a diss or insult I am throwing out. When I proposed to Colleen I had the idea she MIGHT be thinking about it so I wanted to make sure that I did it some place she would NEVER even think it would happen. After literally maybe 10 minutes after I asked her she said "I am so glad you did not do this in front of The Castle".

I also fail to see why proposing in front of the castle could be so bad. If the problem is the amount of people walking around that area you can always wait about half an hour or so after the park closes so that the hub is relatively empty.

I know that is what I plan on doing, eventually. Unless my future wife states something that could make me change my mind.

Well, my fiance wanted to plan a propsal during Wishes and get a photopass photographer involved and all that jazz... however, we went during July, so there was no Wishes!

So just in front of the castle was absolutely perfect, at least for us. (Especially because we both HATED the idea of doing it during dinner. You can propose during dinner anywhere in the world, but there's only one place where you can have Cinderella's castle in your engagement photos.) However, I did not seeing it coming--- he did it first thing in the morning on our first day in the park, and I was much more concerned with getting on Splash Mountain than I was with getting a ring!

So there. :zipit:

The dinner thing I agree with.

*During any parade - it would be too noisy and if you're shy like me, it might be harder to pop the question with 1,000 of your closest friends around!
*At any food cart
*Monsters Inc Laugh Floor - you could text in your proposal, though the monster might turn it into a joke which may not end well!

This thread reminds me of the WDW Full House episodes, where Danny kept trying to propose but was foiled each time!

Yessss  I miss Full House.

There are some hilarious ideas in here. I shared with Mom on the phone when she called me just now, and her addition:

Anything even remotely related to the Tiki-Room does not make for an 'enchanting' proposal.
