True. I'm not against pyro, I just feel that WoC will be able to wow guests without it. And if they have to, they can always just make liquid fireworks using the fountains ;) not as loud as real pyro, but it will still do the job!

I do too. And liquid pyro will be amazing.

But see? Loud and Bright is needed! Just if it's a few sparks.
Spoiler...over the gigantic water castle...:D

it could happen! :)

I have a few pictures I figured you guys might find interesting. As far as I know these have not been posted anywhere else. The quality isn't too great but hey, it's something!

WoC2.jpg

not sure what these are called, but they're really cool moving fountains

WoC3.jpg

A few projections

WoC4.jpg

WoC5.jpg

And as example (a poor one at that), here's a hint of what liquid fireworks might look like. Basically fountains crash into each other and create a colorful splash - simulating a firework explosion. add some firework sound effects and there you have it!

Disregard all I said previously. :D

I see Aladdin's Castle, BTW.

yeah that appears to be the castle from Aladdin, and in the Forest projection (second picture) you can see a waterfall. the river that flows towards the audience should begin at the base of that waterfall :)

Here are couple more examples of what liquid fireworks might look like -

I understand that there was a lot of work to do, but wow, it seems like Paradise Park is taking FOREVER. Didn't it start at the same time that WoC construction started?

If I remember right Paradise Bay started draining at the start of Nov. 2008 and also included the removal of the old Luminara supports. Which I was surprised was kept there for so long.

While the walls for Paradise Park didn't go up till sometime in Jan 2009.

-----

On another note about Paradise Park the parade light towers now have the bubble machines for Pixar Play Parade back on top, which makes me happy:sohappy: Although theres rumors out there that Pixar Play Parade may go dark for 3 months due to construction.:( And no WDW you can not have this parade too:rolleyes: you got DCA's BPB and updated MSEP;)

Also on the pier side we can thank Luminara for leaving behind its speakers.

Paradise Pier opening speakers the small speakers were replaced with the new ones for Luminara still there today-

Aw, I hope PPP doesn't go away for that long. I'm not usually a big fan of parades but Pixar Play Parade is always a must-see for me.

I hope they turn on the old Luminaria speakers for WoC.. I love it back there and it will be fun to see the show from a different perspective.

I was browsing through Flickr and found these really cool WoC testing pictures. These pictures were all taken from Loren Javier's photostream. The testing shown here took place December last year.

I love PPP I think its a perfect balance of the energy of BPB and the traditional since of a parade like POD I do wish it could be updated with Wall-E and UP. I still think its funny in a good way to see Mator and McQueen drive into the Tortilla gate towards Carsland:D

Watching from behind might be pretty good incase one isnt able to get in Paradise Park. Plus the speakers are very loud when turned up(like they did for Rockin' the Bay, wow they've come far from those day lol)

Oooo when did Screamin's blue lighting all get fixed I swear it was out for some type after TSMM! started construction. Good to see it full lit again.

I plan to see the show from Paradise Park, but I think occasionally it'd be fun to see it from the back. Kind of like Fantasmic.. I love seeing the show from the area next to Hungry Bear. You get to see all the behind-the-scenes stuff!

I remember the Rockin' the Bay days! And DCA's Fiesta Latina :D

yeah, it looks nice with the lighting now completely lit. the lights in the scream tubes are working too, they follow the trains as they go up the hill.

They're also repairing the lights on MFW - i'm guessing this is prep work to get everything looking nice for the WoC crowds. They need to fix the lighting in the new lighthouse tower as well, I think the rain messed it up.

Bubble Machines?:lookaroun

I wonder if those will activate during WoC. Sheesh. That would really bring the show to you, too.

Certainly hope WDW gets something like that for our Nightastic, you had the confetti and all...

Nice pics! :D

Actually the bubble machines are for Pixar Play Parade, they get activated once the Nemo unit goes by and they stay on for the rest of the parade.
