working out for Disney

Ugh. I figured I'd just spent too much time on airplanes lately. I brought home a cough that has settled painfully into my chest. Theraflu is my best friend right now. I blamed it on the guy who sneezed non stop from Orlando to White Plains, but it could have been the cruise, too. At least I didn't get sick ON the cruise, like I did last year. Hopefully you'll be back to 100% soon!
Hope you feel better soon! :)

Good afternoon! Had a nice weekend doing yard work. It was so gorgeous outside. But do not like getting down to the 30s????!!!! It was 37 last night. What the ??? I am not ready for winter temps, thank you very much. :arghh:
DH found out he has to go where our DD and SIL live to a 2-day class on this new program they are doing at work. Lucky dog!! She has an extra ticket for him to go with her to see the Eagles!!! I am so jelly!! It will be a great concert. He owes me.
Walking when DH gets home and weights before. Dinner is shredded pork sandwiches and coleslaw. Have a 3 lb. pork shoulder in the crockpot and it smells good:hungry:

Ach. I hope you're back to normal soon, too!

I started this Friday night and tried to ignore it. I think working out yesterday sent me over the edge. I got sick on our Med. cruise. I was flying from Barcelona to Chicago and it was miserable. There was a baby in front of me who cried a fair amount. The grandmother kept clapping in an attempt to settle the baby down (Seriously, how could someone think that's effective?) It hurt my ears every time she clapped. I was so congested in my chest and my sinuses. Ugh.

I love Disney cruises, but people really need to cover their mouths when sneezing/coughing. It's basic common decency.

OK-

I had plans to walk and do a 30 minute workout. I'm just feeling punk, plus my shoulder blade hurts. So, I've given up on any sort of physical activity today. I'm just going drink my water and take it easy. :hungover:
Sorry to hear that but water and rest sounds about right. GWS

good morning YWA is done and the group is going to be walking more often because our pool is now closed:):( Love the more walking but will miss the pool. Tonight's dinner nachos for the guys and same for me sans chips. I have a lot of lettuce and fresh salsa that needs to get eaten:hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry: I may have a few chips after with some of the salsa:hungry::hungry::hungry:

Hello-

I think I am feeling a bit better cold-wise, today. I might be able to get out for a walk. My shoulder feels a bit better, too. If I work out, it will be a lower body work out that doesn't require a kettle bell swings. I'll see how I feel later on.

I am making chicken breast (s) that I flatten, then I put pickles, swiss cheese and ham on it, and roll it up. It's supposed to be a like a Cuban sandwich. You're supposed to dip it egg and then panko and seasoned bread crumbs, but I just sprinkle the crumbs on. It's less messy and the roll up stays intact. I'll just serve that with veggies and some brown rice.

Good morning! To clouds and just 40s. At least it wasn’t in the 30s today! Sun is supposed to come out later.
Think I will run around a bit shopping since DH not coming home for lunch. I need to go by the apple house for apples too.
Dinner is going to be salmon, roasted veggies and couscous.

I have only been on Disney cruises, so I can't speak to other cruise lines. But DCL is very family friendly. You're not going to see drunken people milling around and everything is "clean." When I cruise with my family, we keep to ourselves. We request a table to ourselves and we've always gotten one. I don't drink much myself anymore and I still had a blast.

I am a very introverted, very reserved person and it's never an issue on the cruise. There is so much to do, but you don't have to do it all. I am not trying to tell you what to do, but it seems like I have a similar temperament to you and your wife. I just thought I'd provide some perspective. :)
Thanks. I think another part of the hesitation has been the idea of dining with people I don't know. Good to know you can request a table to yourself. I also would not care for formal nights. Maybe we will take an inexpensive, shorter cruise on NCL, RC or Carnival to try it out before splurging on a Disney Cruise, just to see if we would like it. We did do a short, one day cruise to nowhere thing out of Port Canaveral more than 20 years ago and we were sick the whole time. I understand there are meds you can take for the seasickness prior to the cruise, so I would have to look into that.
