I have not eaten well this week...stress and VERY little time. I've had to rearrange my work schedule so I'm working every evening, and I have my son at home for a couple of weeks during the day, which means I'm not biking to work. I still get more than my 10,000 steps in every day at work, but I'm not getting the biking in yet. If we can get DS into the school we want, it's over 6km biking per day and another 3.2 from that school to my work, so then I'd be getting almost 20 km biking in on days I work. But for now, it's taking a toll on my energy and everything else. Only a week and a half until Disneyland Paris, thank GOD!!!! I need some pixie dust!!

Don't worry you're under so much stress right now the most important things to try and do are eat as well as you can and try and rest. Once he's in a proper school you'll feel better. It's coming soon. Prayers and pixie dust xoxo

I think I've forgotten what proper rest is. I have only been able to pop on here about once in 3 days. I HAVE been getting in a cat nap most days to make up for the sleep I am not getting at night, and that's helping, but I just don't have time to do everything. I know it WILL get back to a new normal after a while...it will just take some time. But I will be really glad to see the back of 2017! I am SO NOT A FAN!!

Hello-

After 2 days of sick rest, I think I am well enough to get out for a walk. I can breathe through my nose again and my head doesn't feel like block of cement. I might do a lower body workout later, too. I think I have torn my trapezius. I think I am going to start doing rows with a band and work up from there to strengthen it. A few years ago, I was in PT for a similar issue and for the life of me I can't remember if it was the same side! But I just remembered I have the email of exercises prescribed by her, I need to find it now.

@Songbird76 @Sans Souci hope you both feel better soon and things get back to a sense of normalcy for you both. My wife is stressing right now with a huge work issue and I am trying to be extra supportive, but it seems sometimes I just make things worse, or at least not better.

I'm sure you're being very supportive, wishing both of you nothing but the best.

I'm sure she appreciates the effort, even if it doesn't seem like it at the moment. I hope she is less stressed soon!

Sometimes the best thing you can do is just let her know that you are there for her when she feels she wants to talk about her work issue. I know it's distressing when you want to help, but you don't know how or you feel like you're making it worse. I hope her work issue gets sorted out soon.

Thanks. She has had a crazy week. She is having to relocate an office after some downsizing and moving some employees to another office, and dealing with commercial real estate rental is a pain.
These are just a few of the highlights, many smaller things are not worth mentioning:
She looked and looked for the right location then finally found the right office with enough space and much lower rental rate, but the new landlord is an older retiree who does not know a lot about building maintenance and tries to do things on the cheap, like cleaning the carpet himself. That would not be a big deal but she had to have IT come in and wire all the offices for internet and LAN wiring. When the landlord came in to clean the carpet a few days before the move, he decided the wiring was in the way and since he did not know what it was, and thought it was from a previous tenant, he just took wire cutters and snipped off all of those "wires coming up out of the floor that were in the way."
So all that had to be rewired and IT people don't work for free.
Then come moving day, some of the staff were not ready and had not gotten their offices packed and ready for the movers. Then the previous landlord in the old building started being a pain and came over telling them they could not park the moving truck in front of the building and it had to be moved "right now." My wife told him the truck was on the side of a public street that he did not own and they would not be moving it but he could "call the police if he really thought they were breaking any laws."
Then he started on her about holes in the walls and drywall damage and that it would have to be repaired. She told him that was what the security deposit was for and to take the repairs out of the security deposit. He told her he did not have time to do the repairs and she would have to. She told him that was not going to happen. He demanded to talk to the person in charge and she explained to him she was in charge (and she is in charge of that particular office and of business operations in all the offices). He did not like that answer and demanded to talk to "someone higher up." She gave him her secondary cell phone number and waited for his call.
Sure enough he called about 15 minutes later and she, in a very professional and calm voice explained to him the exact same thing she had just told him face to face just a few minutes earlier. That seemed to calm him down a bit. She is quite skilled at dealing with unreasonable people.
Now while all of this is going on, they still have work to do so she has been putting in 14-16 hour days trying to get moved (that process of actual moving, taking apart furniture and reassembling it etc.. took two and half days) and keeping regular business going at the same time, so she is quite exhausted and stressed and some team members have not exactly been the most cooperative during it all.
Also, she finds herself working out of boxes as there has not really been time to unpack and get organized yet.
And, it is fall festival time here and our church has a booth set up selling concessions and that takes a lot of preparation and then an all day, all out effort manning the booth, so she is going to be really shot tomorrow. Yes, she has to be there as she is Sunday School Superintendent and WM secretary/treasurer.
Anyway, things will be better and back to normal for her soon.
