working out for Disney

BTW believe you me getting started wasn't easy. I set small goals and went from there

Small goals--that's the key to success, no matter what you tackle. I think that's why so many that have "good intentions" for either exercise, or diets, hit the skids--because people initially set their goals a bit too high. It's frustrating when you don't achieve a target within a specific block of time, and that discourages enough people to quit.

I am in a total breakfast rut. I am so sick of eggs and I really don't like sweet things for breakfast. LOL

I keep looking in my fridge and pantry for something to make and nothing stands out to me.
You can always make a smoothie with what you have on hand:joyfull:

That is why I eat lots of oatmeal. Some days I add a nut butter, chia seeds, and fruit. Some days just fruit. Cereal does not last for me.

When my wife bakes, the house smells so good. Otherwise it smells like dogs and Febreeze.
I get a chuckle out of that "nose blind" commercial that Fabreze runs. I live in a small two bedroom apt. I live alone and at times find it to be confining. My upstairs neighbors (two adults) have 4, count'um FOUR dogs in their apartment. I don't dare go up there but I'd guess that "Kennel #5" is the scented atmosphere of the place.

Wow, we have two small dogs and I dream of the day I go "nose blind" to them.

Wooo. I am in with a Body Pump workout. I finally found all the plates that go on to my barbell. I haven't done a barbell workout since June. I will probably be very sore tomorrow.

I have no idea what I am fixing for dinner. I am going to see what I can throw together. I usually have all of my meals planned out for the week, but I just felt "meh" about food this week. Nothing appeals to me and I am eating so I can workout, basically.

I'm not going to WDW again until 3/2018 but I should probably get started on my Disney Diet now since I'll need to lose like 20lbs to make room for the 30lbs I'll gain while there despite walking 10 miles a day:eek:

I do go to the gym, but it's not as often as I "should" or would like. Any tips or motivation, guys?

I think any time is a good time to start. "Now" is even better. I might start again tomorrow or the next day.
For me, the motivation that is the strongest is when I decide to lose weight, exercise more and eat healthier for me, because I want to do it for my own health. My wife can encourage, the Dr. can make all kinds of suggestions, but until I set it in my mind to do it because I want to do it for me, it does not really happen. I do try fairly regularly, and have had some success in walking and losing weight, but do know I have to get back to being more serious about it.
The mind set that I am trying to get better for my own sake is a strong motivator, and in doing so it makes things better for my wife when I am healthier too.
Not sure that makes a lot of sense, but main thing I am trying to pass along is make sure you keep reminding yourself that healthy is good for you.

It is apple harvest time here and they are plentiful. I wanted something different the other day for breakfast. My wife was out of town, so it was just me and the dogs and they did not care either way.
I peeled a couple of honey crisp (my favorites) apples and sautéed them in butter till they were nicely browned. Made a couple of sausage patties and warmed up some no sugar added apple butter. Then I put the apple butter on a plate, topped it with the sausage patties then topped that with the sautéed apples. It was very good and I did not miss my usual eggs, salsa and hotsauce. It probably could have used some toast or something, but it was OK, and the apples are a good compliment to sausage. I'm sure it would have been fine with some tofu or something instead of sausage as well (yeah, I can't type that with a straight face but you would not know it if I had not admitted it).
