working out for Disney

Oh I wasn't criticizing! They do look amazing! I have Pinterest boards full of things that I can't eat right now, so it doesn't bother me. It's just more motivation to not slack off again! Until this past year I always worked out a lot, so I didn't count calories. Eat smart at home (not keeping soda/junk food/desserts in the house), allow myself to eat (mostly) whatever I want when out. It's all about moderation.

Meal prep photos stress me out more than "normal food" photos...I've never been good at meal prep, gave up trying.lol

For me, prep is part of, or most of, the fun. Yes, weird I know. The part I hate is clean up. I do make a huge mess.

For me it's just that Sunday evening are my one relaxing night. I have a glass of chianti, do some ironing, then cuddle up with my dog and watch Masterpiece on PBS. I just can't add a week's worth of meal preparation to that routine.lol

I enjoy cleaning, but I hate doing dishes so I can relate to ya there.

Thank you. I had been looking at dogs for a long time and she stood out to me. Ah, well.

This is sad. I was so excited about this little dog for you. Takes a special person to bring home a dog with a disability like that. But as others have mentioned, there will be another dog that will desperately need your loving care. I have a feeling that another dog will "find" you, very, very soon . . .

Yes, but very big burgers as they were already planned to just be crumbled for chili. Adds a good flavor to chili as opposed to just browning the ground beef in the pot then draining it. With already grilled beef, there is no draining necessary either.

Your chili sounds out of this world!! And never stop posting pictures of all the delicious food you make--I'm hooked!!

I've heard great things about Cize! How long did you do it? I debated on getting it when it came out last year, but I'm a bit of a Zumba nut and didn't know if I should add another cardio program.
For the price I paid it's well worth it. I got it for free LOL I haven't done it as a program. I have popped it in a few times as filler to add a bit of cardio here and there when I think I've been sitting too long or if that day's workout was mostly weights. I'm sorry i don't think that helped you much:(

I can't like a post about eating celery. If you are wondering about food pics in a working out thread, yeah, it is kinda weird. I have a hobby of grilling and me and my brother have the same kind of ceramic kamado grill, so we are always sharing things we cook, taking pictures and comparing. Weird hobby.
Anyway, since I already have the pics of some of my grilling cooks, I started posting some of it on here. So far there has not been any objection, but if anyone gets tired of my grilling pics, I will certainly stop, but I have been posting here to share some of my weird hobby.
Keep them coming for 2 reasons. First they'll keep you honest with yourself about what you're eating and second they are so well done and fun.

Hello-

Today is a flexibility day for me. So I will just take a hot bath before bed and do my flexibility workout then. I find flexibility workouts relax me and I might as well use that to send me off to sleep.

Tonight I chopped and roasted portobellos, a red pepper, a red onion and egg plant in the oven. I seasoned them with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper. I topped them with feta and served it with rice and hummus.
That sounds delicious. I'll be there in about 2 hours for leftovers:D or maybe I'll save the gas and make something like that for dinner:hungry:

This chili turned out amazing with the grilled ground beef crumbled in it. I used bell pepper, onion, roasted red peppers, jalapenos and sauteed them, then added a large can of crushed tomatoes, can of Rotel tomatoes and peppers, can of Luck's chili beans, the ground beef, a couple of tablespoons of chili powder, salt, pepper, a sprinkle of ground cayenne pepper, some minced garlic, red pepper flakes and the secret ingredients, some ground cinnamon and cocoa powder (about 1/4 Hershey bar or some Hershey kisses works too).
Let it all simmer for a couple of hours as I walked while the sun was going down.
It was out of this world good, or maybe I was just craving chili since making the meat for it a couple of days ago. Anyway, we have chili several times during cold weather, so more to look forward to later. This was a huge pot full, and I shared some with my brother, but still enough left to eat on for a few days. Was out of cornmeal or there would have been cornbread to go with this. Tonight, crackers worked fine.
Topped the bowl with some grated cheddar cheese and sour cream to make it even more decadent, but did not stop to take another pic before digging in. Tomorrow it will be even better, something about sitting in the fridge overnight makes the flavors come together better, or maybe that is just my imagination.
Hope you are OK with my sharing some recent cooks. Have not posted a lot of them lately, because frankly I have not been eating the most healthy of late. Gotta do better...tomorrow.

I make a version of this without the eggplant. I love balsamic vinegar!! And feta!! :)

Good morning!!! I see the sun!! And not much smoke today which is a good day!
Since I had to run to my annual physical yesterday, which turned out , I need to run out and get kitty food and people food. And a Starbucks stop in the way.
Today is my weights and stretching day. Hopefully will get another outside walk in too. It was so nice to walk outside last night!! It really helps to end the day with my DH. He needs it to destress after a long day.
Hope you all have a great day!!
