Good morning 5 fast LS miles and the ever so boring plank challenge done. It's boring not hard but very good for one's middle. I'm going walking as soon ad today's fps are made

Good morning LS's 5 advanced miles done and the plank challenge is boring but good for my tummy. I'm making sweet potato soup for dinner. It's going in the pressure cooker because it's going to be beautiful and I plan on spending time walking and lounging at the pool with a book. One of my favorites The Unofficial Guide to Disney. Have a great day and stay hydrated
Sweet potato soup...what's that like? I make baked potato soup, but I've never heard of Sweet Potato soup.

Hello-
I am in with Body Combat 60. I got a nice sweaty workout in 30 minutes, I will go for a walk later, too, weather permitting. We have a weather radio and it went off 4 times between 1:30 AM and 3 AM for severe weather. Needless to say, I slept pretty poorly. LOL So, I am glad I got my workout in today.

For dinner, I am taking a pita bread, splitting it horizontally and sticking each half under the broiler for a minutes. Then I spread hummus on it and top it with red onions, baby spinach, roasted red peppers and feta and broil it again. If I get really lazy, I will just take a pita and fill it with the aforementioned items and call it a sandwich. :)
That sounds pretty good! I did a broccoli and cheese dip with Pita chips once....same deal with the pita..slice it in half and then cut it like a pizza into triangles and bake them. Then it was like...light sour cream, cheddar (which we don't have so I had to use gouda), broccoli...I don't remember all of it, but it was really good! Do you saté your onions and spinach before you put it on?

Good morning!! What a night we had! A very bad storm came rolling in right after dinner with heavy rain and straight-line winds. Our neighbors 4 doors down lost a huge oak in their front yard right onto the front of their house. The firemen were there a long time trying to cut it out of the house. They are all fine-except for the front part of the house.
I was jumpy all night! We kept having little storms afterwards until around 10. Our cat stayed hidden under our bed most of the night.
And now there are more storms headed from TN, where they are having bad flooding. Keeping fingers crossed that it breaks down when it hits the mtns!
Well I am going to try to run some errands today. DH gone to Charlotte for a mtg until this evening. So salads for dinner if he gets home by dinner.
Have a safe day out there!:)

I think planks are so much better that crunches for the core. I think you use your entire body to hold a plank, whereas with crunches, you're just engaging you're abs. You get more bang for the buck with planks.

That dip sounds really good. I don't sauté the onions and spinach. I slice the onions very thinly, pile on the baby spinach and broil it just enough to wilt the baby spinach a bit. I think I am going to do it again tonight, because it's simple, tasty and filling.

I know but that doesn't make the time go faster:confused: even with good music they're still boring as heck

Yikes! That sounds like the same system that moved in here very early yesterday morning. It traveled in a south east track. I hope the mountains break it up for you.

Good afternoon!

I just completed my strength training workout (Ripped in 6 Minutes). I love that I work up a good sweat and burn some decent calories without impact. I did skip the final ab section, because I felt the push up and plank-o-rama segment got my abs pretty good. I am going to go for a walk later, weather permitting. We're supposed to get some storms later. I am kind of tired of the National Weather Service doing these "Chicken Little" type forecasts and then it only drizzles for 5 seconds. LOL
