Ohh thank you! We try. She decided she wanted a different brand of food so we tried some last week. Of course, she loved it and licked the bowl clean. Yeah, it is the expensive kind!

Funny you should mention the expensive type of food. We went through the exact same scenario with our dog about a year ago. He wasn't eating much of his supermarket (reasonably priced dry dog food), so I tried an expensive grain-free brand from a dog food store--just to try it. He devoured it. So we ended up mixing half of the cheaper stuff with the expensive dog food, and he finishes up his bowl every day now. It was worth the higher price in the end.

Is your dog older? My mini poodle got very finicky as he aged. I think they are like humans in that the taste buds get dulled as we age. My poodle loved scrambled eggs and he only ate slices of baguettes from the Corner Bakery when he was still around. He never ate bread from anywhere else. Pets are so funny. :hilarious:

Congrats! Time so start investing in teasing combs and animal prints LOL

Bwah. :hilarious: I don't get that vibe down here, it feels more "Mid-atlantic", if that makes sense. Maybe I haven't been here long enough? But some of the houses, we viewed--it was like a time warp to 1987. I wish I'd taken photos, because you could have used these houses as the set of a movie or a TV show set in the 80's.

So, I got a bunch of steps in we drove down to Cape May and walked along the beach for about 90 minutes. It was an impromptu trip. We wanted to get some exercise and fresh air and we got both. I can't wait to get home and get back to my eating and work out routine. I am going to give my house one more good cleaning before we start showing it.

ETA: I never expected to see so many Quebecois license plates ("Je me souviens") in Cape May County. It must be a popular place for them to visit? I saw some signs in French, too.

Tofu just barely qualifies as food, but, enjoy! ;):hungover:

He's about 7 years old. At the time (last year), another forum member mentioned that sometimes the pet food companies change up some ingredients, but aren't forthright coming out with that; he's experience it with some of his horses over the years. Anyway, not sure what happened, but at least now we have a mix of two blends of dog food together that he'll eat.

We mixed hers too with the old food until it ran out. That stuff costs too much to throw out. She is solely on te new now and stil loving it. I guess they get bored with the same foods like we do.

Good morning!!! It's summer solstice -the longest day of the year!
After working outside some this weekend, seeing the new Dory movie, eating Mexican food, hiking 8 miles, and taking a long drive, I am ready for the week. Painting and grocery shopping high on my list.
Everyone have a good day!! Glad to have @Mr Ferret 88 back from his vacation.

It's supposed to be rainy and cold here today. No swimming for us! I have to work tonight, so that will be my exercise.

We're back home for now. We almost stayed another night, but I decided against it. I have too much stuff to do here. I have to get the house ready for photos for when it is posted for sale and my son's graduation party is Saturday.

When we got back to Chicago last night, my suitcase came off the conveyor belt and it was open. I was thinking to myself that I zipped it and locked it. I wanted to get out of everyone's way and see what was missing and when I went to zip it up, there were no zipper pulls. So, I am assuming it was a freak thing and the lock and zipper pulls got caught in something. I went to Southwest Luggage Services and they gave me a new suitcase. It is a nice gesture, but it is not the same quality or size as the one they destroyed. The agent who helped me was very friendly and apologetic as well. But the good news is, it seems like nothing is missing. I checked as I repacked our stuff into the new suitcase and then again when we got home. I had four hours from the time of the incident to report missing items and honestly, there was nothing of great value in there anyway. It could have been worse. :)

I am going to either lift weights or do some cardio today. I was such an unintentional slug last week. Ugh. I am usually on top on my Fitbit leader board, but now I am in the basement. I need to correct that.

First I'm glad nothing went missing and second I'm sure you did what you could considering what you had to put up with last week.

That does not sound fun to deal with, but at least they DID something. When we flew in 2010, we had a 7 hour delay, they lost one of our kids' car seats, they broke one of out suitcases, and we missed our connecting flight, so they shoved us on a 3 hour bus ride instead of a 45 minute flight, where everyone but us was given food because we were still waiting for the darn car seat that they kept swearing was coming out in just a minute....so everyone was on the bus eating, and we got on and they had given our share out to the others on the bus. We got ZERO compensation. HORRID customer service.
I'm glad nothing was missing! But wow...only 4 hours to report missing items? That's not very long. Did you only have one suitcase total?
