working out for Disney

I'm taking a rest day. I had planned to do my ab workout Tuesday, but ended up riding my bike to the shopping district to check out shoes for Disney because Ecco sandals are on sale this week. Then I also biked to choir and back, and since I had walked quite a bit on Monday, I was worried about overdoing it. So I did the ab workout yesterday and my hip was just a bit sore this morning so I decided to err on the side of caution. I just had a lovely salad for lunch thanks to lettuce being on sale this week. Actually, I wanted to buy a head of lettuce, because it's cheaper, but the store had technical difficulties with their ordering system and a lot of things weren't delivered, lettuce being one of them. But, pre-cut and packaged lettuce is buy one get one half off, so I got 2 big bags of it, since we need some for tacos tonight anyway and figured I'd just use the rest in salads.

Cracked me up! Was she European? Sometimes at work I think about how the conversations at break time would not fly in the US. It can get really inappropriate!
I don't know about that. Although some people are so uptight it's a wonder they can even breath, I would have found it amusing and not the least bit offensive. The last time any of my direct descendants were in Europe it was the mid-1600s. We are not all politically correct 100% of the time. ;):joyfull:

It didn't offend me. I just thought it was an odd item to share in a TR. I have a 14 year old son, so I am exposed to all sorts of silliness. :hilarious:

No, I think she was American, because she was talking about driving down from a state I can't recall right now. It seems like there is a core of people who like to post TRs and I didn't recognize her as one. I just thought it was a really odd thing to put in a TR! LOL

I just went for a walk yesterday and not a particularly fast or long one. I am just not sleeping well and I never do when my husband is gone. I figure eventually I will become so exhausted and just crash into a deep sleep one night. LOL

I don't feel that badly about just going for a walk, because I did that really intense workout on Tuesday. I am thinking of doing it again, since it is short and packs in a lot in 30 minutes. Allegedly, you burn calories afterwards, too.

I am so lazy. I got super market sushi for dinner last night and I will likely do it again tonight. My son always does his own thing for dinner, plus, he eats multiple dinners--teen boys. LOL

Tell me about it 2 breakfasts and a snack already:cautious: I'm not liking the summer vacation food bill at all!

Hello-

Checking in with "Grit Strength." I quickly previewed this one and thought it was just a barbell workout. But, no, it was more--much, much more :( There were a lot of push ups into jump squats and side mountain climbers into jump squats and something else my memory won't let me recall. But, it's done for the day. I am only going to do these 2x/week, because I don't think these are the joint-friendliest workouts ever. LOL

I need to grab dinner at the super market. I have been busy all day with laundry.

Good morning I skipped my regularly scheduled workout due to having to take an allergy pill that kicked my tushie. Weights and woozy is not a good combo. Plyo and woozy doesn't sound safe either. At least it's going to be sunny and start to warm with the sun so I'll be able to get in my walks because I'm not going out alone. Something is better than nothing:joyfull: I'm glad I don't have to cook today, yea for clean out the fridge day:joyfull: I don't even have to chop or shred anything except for tomatoes and I may let my ds do that, again sharp objects may not be wise until dinner time. have a great day and wonderful weekend.

Good Friday morning!! This was the longest week. I don't know why unless it was because my DH was off some last week and this week back to work.
Anyhoo, been tending to the garden and lining up some outdoor projects for the next few weeks.
We are going to take some time to go visit our DD and her DH next week. We haven't seen her since Christmas. I am very excited!!
Our weather is supposed to hit record heat this weekend. Wonder if that is an indication of the rest of the summer
Stay safe and cool this weekend everyone! Have a good one! Going to go bake my grand-dogs some treats! :D

It's certainly more relaxed over here, and I like that. I think sometimes it goes overboard in the US. I remember in my high school, there was a boy who tried to sue a girl for harassment because she called him "Jimmy" instead of "James". Not nice, but hardly worth suing over. Sometimes I wish people would just say "Hey, I don't like that, could you please stop talking about that" or just get up and go sit somewhere else instead of immediately turning it in to authorities without giving the person a chance to modify it. I've turned a couple of guys in for sexual harassment over the years, but it was always stuff they said directly TO me, not just talking around me about stuff I thought was inappropriate, and it I always asked them to leave me alone before I turned it over to someone else. But Europeans don't have as many social taboos. They'll tell you all about their last bowel movement or menstruation just in casual conversation. It really took some getting used to!!

Is your son a hobbit? (I think most teenage boys probably are. I'm pretty sure from what I've heard from @figmentfan423 about how much her boys eat that they are indeed hobbits.
If you wanted to eat like a hobbit you would have these meals:
  • Breakfast - 7am.
  • Second breakfast - 9 am.
  • Elevenses - 11 am.
  • Lunch - 1 pm.
  • Afternoon tea - 3pm.
  • Dinner - 6 pm.
  • Supper - 9 pm.

I hope you can sleep better...I would think the workouts would help wear you out eventually!!

Sympathy like! What kind of allergy? Hope you feel better....and DO let someone else to the chopping. I stabbed myself in the hand yesterday trying to cut watermelon and that was WITHOUT the influence of medication.

Sympathy like, OUCH! No heavy lifting, sharp objects or driving until Sunday or Monday. Just run of the mill pollen and so far this year has been a very good year for me. It's the first time I've had to take something since, well I can't really remember, it was sometime last year:joyfull: I usually need something for a week in late April or early May but not this year:joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull::joyfull:

I hope you're feeling better. I think the pollen is really bad this year. I never have issues with allergy symptoms and I am sneezing non-stop this season.

This is my hobbit and me on a Disney Med Cruise in September. He is 13 in this photo. He has been taller than I am since he was 12 and I am 5'8''. LOL

He's only 13 in this photo? Holy cow! He's tall then, especially for a hobbit!! My brother was 6 foot already by that age...so unfair because I was supposed to get to 5'8. My mom was 5'10, my brother is 6'4...and then there's me....not quite 5'6. It seems by the time I was born, there wasn't any height left.
