working out for Disney

Good afternoon! I am sorry I haven't been on much but when warm weather comes, I practically live outdoors until dark! :D
We have so many outdoor projects this summer. Painting, replacing Windows and the roof, painting decks, etc.
Today must be tofu Monday @figmentfan423 . I am making a Asian tofu steak with tofu and veggies for dinner! How it is good. We are tired of eating meat from the weekend.
Going to do my weights and stretching then hopefully walk with my DH this evening unless the rain gets here. :)

I worked today...completely forgot I was scheduled during the day until last night. So, I rode my bike....20 mins each way, and I walked for about 3 hours and stood for the other 2 hours. I definitely got my exercise in. Tomorrow I'll do an ab workout since I've walked a lot the last 2 days. Yesterday was a choir festival, so when I wasn't singing myself, I was wandering around watching other choirs. Got a little bit sunburned, even though I re-applied 50 spf sunscreen halfway through the afternoon. It started at 1:00, so I put some on before I went, and then put more on after our first performance....somewhere around 3 I think. I went home at about 5. HOW did I get burned???
Sympathy for the burn! When you're in Florida put on sunscreen every hour or so and wear a big floppy hat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, at least it's not a BAD burn. It's not hurting at all really. But apparently every 2 hours wasn't enough, so yep...will have to do every hour. Good thing there was a BOGO sale on sunscreen, so I have 2 full bottles of SPF 50 to bring along with us.

I think I have mentioned this before. I am a person that tans easily. I can think about the sun and get a tan. Just a week in the south, back when I lived in Vermont, and I was a whole bunch darker. That last sunburn I got was back in 1968 when I spent a day on the beach. Haven't had one since then. I do have an awesome farmers tan though. I hate wearing hats although lately my family is obsessed with my covering my bald head when out in the sun. I hate hats and have, in the past, told them that I don't want to cover up my built in solar panel. If I'm going to be spending the day in WDW, I do use a spray on sunblock (don't even know what SPF it is) and that seems to work fine and my head does not burn. But, I now realize that as I age, it seems that things like that change with time, so I now do wear a hat if I'm going to be out for any extended length of time. I cannot find one that I like, and I hate baseball caps, but, they are the lesser of all the evils out there. I still usually just wear them when I'm playing golf.

My sister, who for many reasons, doesn't believe we are from the same parents, is so light skinned that if she looks out a window on a sunny day she gets a burn.

Yes, don't forget your sunblock. The reason I say that is one year I forgot to bring mine from home. So I went to the pool at the hotel, and bought a can of their sunblock--it cost me $10 more than what I had bought at home!!

Needless to say, I never forgot sunblock again in my suitcase! And when I'm outside in WDW, I always wear a baseball stye cap (it has a Disney design on it) and it helps to shield my eyes as well (I also wear sunglasses).

OK, I am in with a long walk.

I went to bed after midnight and I was up again at 3 AM. I started drifting off again at 6 AM. Then my son wakes up at 6:30 and showers. But, no, not just shower, but he has to sing, too. At 6:30 AM. He has no school. My mom was picking him up at 8:30 to take him into the city. I guess he likes to pace himself when getting ready. :hilarious: I have been so beat all day. I hope I sleep better tonight. I have a stomach ache, too. Boo.

OMG, some of you missed a melt down of epic proportions. There is someone on this message board who picks fights with people and is the biggest misery guts ever. She started a thread in GD about how most people on this board are "d-bags." LMAO She also called someone in the Trip Planning sub-forum a "d-bag" and some not so nice things about this person's children. She once came into a thread about vegetarian options and started berating everyone in it, because her ex-husband was a chef at WDW and he hated vegetarians...

Yeah, that thread got deleted pretty quickly. The same poster had some nasty stuff to say in the cake thread too.

I hope you're feeling better today. I know who you're taking about, I won't read her posts any more.

I saw a bunch of those in the various forums as well, before they cleaned them up, thank God. Funny thing is that I thought the person was a guy, not a woman! (I also wondered if the person had been drinking or whatever--some of the strangest posts I've seen since I've been a member here for a few years.) Wow . . .

I have a packing list so I won't forget. I HATE hats....they look ridiculous on me. No matter what kind it is, it looks stupid. Plus, I usually wear my hair tied back so a had doesn't fit over it and my hair covers my scalp and I just put sun screen on the part between my bangs and my hair line.

It took me forever to get to sleep last night. I'm so tired today! I feel your pain. DS has his school trip to Germany today.

Sounds like this person might just be a troll.?

Good mornng! It was really good! My DH even liked it. My DD said the trick is to marinate the tofu otherwise it is bland. So, I marinated firm tofu slices in pineapple juice, red pepper flakes, grated ginger, and low-sodium soy sauce. :)

That sounds really good. I think I will make that for myself. Did you put it on the grill, or did you sauté it?
