Good early morning LOL 5 fast LS miles I was going to do some Zumba today but just didn't feel:hilarious: It's going to rain today so no outside walking:( Perfect excuse for a mani pedi and some yoga later:) Today is clean out the fridge day so it may be assorted veggie salads for me again with dark brown rice:joyfull: Have a great weekend and stay healthy
It's like we're trading off weather! You get beautiful weather, we get floods (It flooded again last night and broke through a in Arnhem by the German border. 4 people were killed when the water rose so fast they didn't have time to escape...15 minutes of rain and it just destroyed.) Now you are supposed to get rain today and here it was sunny and beautiful and it's supposed to be nice through Monday. It's actually supposed to break 80 on Monday!

Yes. The weather totally cleared up for them. I was relieved for them. They said we were going to have severe weather--hail, damaging winds, but it never happened. He loves all the crazy coasters, whereas I won't go on them.

I am glad your DS is better. My brother had meningitis and he was in the hospital for over a week. My mom went to wake him from school and he wouldn't move. She thought he was faking and she went to open his blinds and he let off the most blood curdling howl. I had to leave for school, but when I returned home, my grandmother was waiting for me to tell me he's been hospitalized. I am so hyper vigilant about the symptoms now.
Yes, it was the neck pain that made me call the doctor. It's just one of those things they always impress on you...if they have a severe headache and a stiff neck, call the doctor immediately! He's never said he had a headache before, and this time, every time he moved he'd say "Ow, my head!" and that with the neck, I was like "Right...doctor." So I call, and the assistant asks "What is it about the neck pain that has you worried?" Um....the fact that he HAS it! But it turned out to be ok....I think probably it's that muscle ache thing you get with the flu and he just wasn't used to that. He went back to school this morning and impressed his teacher...he missed a bunch of testing and she was going to have him make up one of the tests today, or maybe 2...he did 4 this morning and she said he acted all nonchalant like "What's the big deal?" I'll be interested to see his scores just to see if it affected him at all. He's surprisingly laid back about it all whereas DD puts too much pressure on herself and will be in tears if she doesn't get an A. These tests have 1-5, one being excellent, 2 being above average, 3 is at grade level, etc. She bawled her eyes out when she got a 2 on a vocabulary test in 2nd grade. It wasn't high enough. And she freaked out when the teacher wanted to give her advanced math stuff because she was afraid she wouldn't be able to do it. DS is more like "Hey, whatever man. As long as I'm passing, I'm good" and he always gets top grades, but he doesn't worry about it like she does. But we'll see what his scores are on the next report card. Last time he had all 1's except for the math test he took on the day he went back to school and was still a bit sick and he got a 2 then. I'm so not worried because I know he's fine, just curious whether we will see his being sick in the test results like last time.

I went for another walk. :hilarious: My husband is here today and he's driving me crazy. I just wanted some solitude, so I went for a long walk. Tonight is my son's graduation, so I've been making sure things are ready for that--steaming his gown, making sure his clothes are pressed, and making sure I have something suitable to wear. LOL
Aw, congratulations!! Did you find something to wear? Sounds like YOU needed the mani/pedi!

I just got back from the graduation. It went by so fast, which is not a bad thing. I was so proud of myself for not tearing up and then the 8th grade choir got up to perform one more time together. A few of the girls were wiping away tears from their cheeks while they were singing and my eyes started tearing up. When they were over, they starting hugging each other and I totally lost it. My son and I have graduated from the same junior high. :)

I've seen some of the flooding on the news, very sad indeed. Stay safe.

Happy weekend! Today I woke up and did a full body yoga workout, both energizing and relaxing. Love it! I'm heading out very earlyish to be at the farm market at opening because somehow I need both produce and eggs. I'll admit to scarfing the veggies LOL but where the heck did all the eggs go:hilarious::banghead:

Thanks. No danger today...it's already in the upper 70s and it doesn't look like it's going to rain. The problem earlier in the week was that it rained so hard and the water had nowhere to go. It accumulated so fast that it couldn't soak into the ground or drain into the drainage system. It was all gone a few hours later, so it wasn't as bad as it could have been, and my street didn't get any flooding. I'm at the north of town and the further North, the less flooding, so we were ok. It seems to have passed just South of us....we got a lot of rain, but not so bad that it flooded us. But then a quarter of a mile south of us had floating manhole covers. 20 miles South and they had several inches of standing water...South West of us about 45 minutes, they were riding wake boards in the street. We were REALLY lucky.

I suspect carnivores. My husband would blame leprechauns. Any time food disappears, he says it was the leprechauns. Those pesky varmints are prolific eaters of leftovers and chips.

Hello-
Today I finally did Body Pump (weights). I got enough sleep the past 2 nights to feel somewhat recharged. I will probably step out for a walk later, but first, I have to make the banana bread my son has been bugging me to make for him. lol

This is my life. I will buy something like, Laughing Cow Babybels and an hour after I bring it home, it's gone! There are 10 in a mesh bag! It's my son scarfing them all up. He makes me so angry. LOL You should see how many gallons of milk I go through in a week. I need to buy a cow.

I just avoid buying stuff I know they will scarf up. The one that really makes me angry is that the store will have a sale on something we use, so I'll stock up and buy a lot of it and hubby seems to think that it's a personal challenge to just eat/drink 3 times the normal amount. When one of the kids' birthdays is coming up, I keep an eye out for sales on things like soda and chips and juice boxes because we need a lot of those to serve. I will buy 6 bottles of cola to have on hand for the party and it will be gone in 2 days because hubby sees it and is like "score!" Which means then I have to buy it again for the party, but then buy it at full price. It ends up costing me even more than it would have to begin with. I have to hide it.

Good morning 5 fast miles done and seeing it's going to rain I'm going to precook a few meals for the week. tofu and mushrooms(dh's request, he's on his preDisney diet), Mushu pork(mostly veggies), a spicey stir fry chicken(again mostly veggies), and a broccoli stir fry with onionsn mushrooms and black beans:hungry::hungry::hungry: I'm also going to make a nice big salad mostly in the food processor using the grating blade Carrots, cucumbers, a couple of inches of ginger, yellow squash, finely minced tomatoes and peppers and tossed with finely shredded romaine lettuce, a couple of packets of monkfruit and a sprinkle of freshly ground pink salt. It really doesn't need dressing but the boys think a bit of toasted sesame oil is needed:hilarious: I may add some white beans and call it a meal:hungry::hungry::hungry: I really don't want to have to cook again for a few days.:joyfull:

I haven't worked out yet, but I am going for a walk tonight. Yesterday, I spent a good chunk of the day cleaning, like deep cleaning. Today, I have been doing Purge: The Sequel. This involved bringing up totes with all of my son's "art work" from the basement and separating the wheat from the chaff, so to speak. One of these pre-school projects was made with rice. How do I know this? Because when I took these things out of the tote, grains of rice went everywhere. Whatever happened to just using elbow macaroni?

Then, I brought up a tote for my son to sort out. It was a mix of school work and Lego. He dumped it out. It took over an hour for him to separate the Lego and school things he wanted to keep and the things he wanted to toss. AN HOUR. I had to redirect him so many times. My house looks like it was never cleaned. My floor is filthy and I just scrubbed it yesterday.

At any rate, I am drinking an iced coffee, letting my dinner settle and going for a walk with some kickin' tunes.

Good morning 5 advanced miles done and heading out with the sun this morning. It's left over day! YEA!!!!!!!!!! So all I have to do is blend up a smoothie and shred some lettuce. I still have a 6pack of annuals to get in the ground  So that has to happen today.

It all sounds good to me! (with the exception of cucumbers and tomatoes, which I wish I liked, but I don't) I'll be right over!

Sympathy like. At least it sounds like it counts as a workout! I always wait until the last possible second to mop the floor because: kids! Why is it that we can go ages without a spill, but the minute the floor is clean, a munchkin will inevitably knock over a FULL glass of milk? I had just scrubbed my floor last week when DS got sick. He had a high fever and he kept alternating between being freezing and sweltering hot. So he was cold, and went to wrap a blanket around himself and hit the glass on the coffee table with the blanket. Fortunately it only had a little left in it and it's a kids glass so a bit thicker and it didn't break. Can you maybe just vacuum the floor for now? If nothing visible spilled, maybe you don't need to mop it again right away? Or do you have one of those swiffer mops that you can just spot mop where the stuff was spilled? That way you don't have to do the WHOLE thing again.

I worked today...completely forgot I was scheduled during the day until last night. So, I rode my bike....20 mins each way, and I walked for about 3 hours and stood for the other 2 hours. I definitely got my exercise in. Tomorrow I'll do an ab workout since I've walked a lot the last 2 days. Yesterday was a choir festival, so when I wasn't singing myself, I was wandering around watching other choirs. Got a little bit sunburned, even though I re-applied 50 spf sunscreen halfway through the afternoon. It started at 1:00, so I put some on before I went, and then put more on after our first performance....somewhere around 3 I think. I went home at about 5. HOW did I get burned???
