@93boomer So HAPPY your feeling better! YAY!!
No work for me, today is my beautiful nieces Confirmation. I took advantage of being home. 1 hour and 15 minute yoga class at the studio and I walked there and back (about 4 miles each way). Glorious BUT cold!!!

I am fixing some kale and pineapple with green grapes and avacado in vitamix now! Thanks @figmentfan423 for the breakfast inspiration.

I am not sure what today will bring for food, we are going out for lunch after church. Days like this make me a little nervous.....I will try and go with the flow...

Hi, everyone.

I did not work out yesterday. I just tried to catch up on laundry. I wasn't ready for any sort of physical activity yet--this bug really took a lot out of me this time around! I think I will attempt the cardio practice from Ultimate Yogi today. I would tell you all what I am eating, but it's nothing exciting. It's been just basic, easy-to-digest foods. I think this morning will be an egg with some seven sprouted grain bread. Who knows what I will have beyond that? I usually eat a lot of spicy ethnic food, but I will be dipping my toes in those waters cautiously as I get better.

Fiigy, thanks for the shout out. Did you say what brand of protein powder you used? I might have missed that.

@93boomer I just read about your eyes. I am sorry. I would try not to stress until you see the doc (easier said than done, for sure.). Just keep posting here. I am glad you are feeling better today.

@LuLaSue Have fun today. Your yoga class sounds like it was divine! I want a Vitamix so badly! I have a food processor that I use almost daily. Does the Vitamix double as a food processor, or is it just a high powered blender?

Anyway, it's Friday. I am so glad this week is behind me. :)

Take it easy until your better you have yourself and your family to think about! As for the protein powders I have the store brand From Vitamin world in the house now. They were on sale and I had coupons so I paid less then 25 percent of the original price. Hope you feel 100 percent soon. Sending some extra pixie dust your way!

A good morning to all of my friends.Today is my lazy day I slept in, been awake for an hour managed my acct. details here and put bananna bread in the oven for my boys. Breakfast for today will be a onion, mushroom, spinich, tomato "omlette" (tofu) and the rest of the day will be comprised of what looks good at the store today as my kids have eaten me out of house and home! LOL Like I said lazy day so some yoga and stretching seems in order I woke up feeling like a giant knot (another front) I hate winter, so I've already done quite a bit of stretching.so as soon as the baking is done I'm popping in a yoga dvd then heading out to get some food!I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend and keep moving!

I am thrilled to hear everyone is feeling better.
@Sans Souci The vitamix has a few series. I bought the cheapest one and it only processes wet. DH went and go me the dry attachment . It doesn't slice and dice like a food processor, I still use that for certain things.

Early start today 7 am yoga class at the studio and i stayed on the practice in the 8:30. Feeling wonderful!
After yoga I had an echo cardiogram, check up...
I didn't have breakfast until late...bad girl...coconut yogurt and pecans with strawberries.
Lunch (now) a kale smoothie.
I don't know what I am making for dinner..I am feeling a little lazy. Lazy in a good way. Maybe just salads all around!

Hello-

I am checking in with the "Vitality" practice from Ultimate Yogi. It was a very energizing practice, since it had a lot of back bends. I will now be up all night.

So today I ate oatmeal for brekkie, a Market Salad from Whole Foods (lunch), and vegetarian tacos for dinner.

You know, I've really gotten into yoga, but I keep hearing the siren song of my high intensity cardio/heavy lifting workouts. I think I am addicted to the endorphin rush I get post work out. I wish I could do them all. :(

Happy Saint Patrick's day to all of you. @Sans Souci brought something to my attention we haven't talked about much balance. She loves yoga but misses high intensity workouts, I know all to well the struggle to balance, work, kids, home sig other life can throw you off balance easily. So here's a challenge of the most difficult type try to find some balance today. It may be as easy as telling everyone to go to........ for an hour and taking a bubble bath, so today find some balance. Yes I know I picked the wrong day for it! LOL This week I will be eating a lot of salads, yesterday when I went to the store it had the most wonderful selection of greens, peppers, cukes, broccoli, cabbage, parsnips, tomatoes, etc I don't know what happened but it seemed like they were putting all the veggies out when I got there and everything looked lovely, note to self don't go shopping when hungry! LOL I found a wonderful workout for when you are feeling a little tight it is part of the keeping fit in your 50s seriesI think it was called fit and flexable I found it on demand. Yes I got up and did yoga works beginner and slim workouts this am. Sorry for the long post .xoxo Figgy!

A good Monday morning to all of you. To those who over indulged liquids, protein and asprin (hope that is unneeded here) It's the start of a new week so I hope all of you get up and move. I found out something interesting by trying something new on Friday and spending the weekend doing yoga my regular 10 mile with boosters seemed a little more intense, so I'm going to try to change up my routines a little more and add more yoga, like I said yesterday balance is a goal I'm going to try for. I said try, LOL. Todays breakfast a smoothie with baby kale, spinich, 1/4 cuke an apple and some left over chick peas. Lunch will be a salad and peas soup snack and dinner will be what I'm in the mood for at the time, fridge full of fresh veggies and fruit so finding yummy food will be easy this week. Have fun moving and keep warm, Figgy

Are we ready for some more snow???

I awoke this morning at 2am, wide awake. I decided to give it an early start and gave into 54 rounds of sunsalutaions and spent a good deal of time in inversion this morning. After meditation and being on my head I feel invigorated!

Breakfast for me today tofu scramble with onion and potato.

Lunch is roasted peppers, asparagus and quinoa in a vegan wrap.

Dinner will be rice pasta with broccolini, garlic and evoo.

I am craving carbs so I am going with the flow...

Morning everyone!! Hope you had a great weekend!! My DH and I spent the entire weekend outdoors. We had temps in the 70s and didn't want to waste that sunshine. But, today is a dreary, rainy, coolish Monday. Hard to get motivated but I am. I am determined to have a good week and keep up my exercises. Today will be walking and light stretching or may even start my zumba again. Breakfast was my usual nonfat greek yogurt with granola and fruit, lunch will be whatever veggies I find in the fridge, and dinner is Morrocan tangine chicken with veggies and whole grain couscous. Fruits and water all day too. Have a great day all!!

Good morning to all of you! I got up and did Kendall Hogan's fat burning cardio and 5 miles with Leslie Sansone. Breakfast today will be a smoothie of frozen mixed berries, black beans alomnd milk and baby greens. As for the rest of today everything is going to depend on weather I woke up to 5 inches of bleep with ice coming down on it, so if by boys are home I'll let them pick what to cook. I never got to an afternoon workout yesterday my gf had to go to DMV and brought all the wrong paper work so by the time we finished up the school sent our kds home. WE did do a little kinnect Disneyland so at least we were moving! lol
