Rumor Wonders of Life getting an attraction soon?

I would say the originally could easily come back. The turntable scene, now done with a digtial projection system, perhaps using 3D glasses for effect... there are plenty of tech upgrades that could be done here. Think Potter... while the ride system there is more complex, essitnaily it's the same concept of a train of cars that breaks away at set points.

It could. But they won't re-do what they once got rid of. Unless they're run by fans like us who care. And maybe some in WDI still care. Sometimes it shows but they seem to be dictated projects. Our best hope is for a new ride that captures the spirit of the original but impresses us now (they no doubt would replicate the turntable in a way that works now). If we ever even get that. It just has been so long with this version it feels like we'll never see anything again. But hopefully his time comes. It always gets pushed back "for later". But the ride as it is desperately needs attention, IMO.

I'm not talking about the desire to do it. They absolutely could. But they're not going to recreate the original piece by piece. It'd be similar but updated. At least IMO. I have no idea what plans they have.

Utterly shocked by how that urbexplorer got backstage, onstage, below stage with that video. Stunned to see his face at the beginning. They just don't learn. I spent 12 years doing Security for condos so sometimes we'd have to be on the lookout for people wanting to go where they didn't belong.
I am also shocked they didn't remove the animatronic for safety and reusing parts, knowing how Disney likes to reuse the bits and pieces.
It's truly sad that Epcot has been left this way for so long.

I just finished watching @marni1971 excellent WOL video. I didn't visit my first Disney park until the year the pavilion closed, so seeing this really made me appreciate what an integral part of Future World this was. I can't believe it has only been used as a festival space for all these years. Any regular use or attractions added would be a very welcome addition to the park...assuming they don't gut it and use it as a giant queue!

Giant queue. Sigh. Makes me sad to think of Energy and possibly Wonders being full of (well themed, I'm sure, but that's not the point) queue space.

Wonders won’t be full of queue space. Well, not the majority of it.
The Energy building use is beyond sad. So short sighted and poorly planned. If there’s one saving grace is that it’s not being pulled down.

The mob of people around the Universe of Energy in that shot from the monorail in your WoL film was great to see, while at the same time so sad to know how poorly that attraction was treated too throughout the end of its run.

I have to say, that one of the things that I enjoy most about Martin's videos is learning about what the pavilions were going to be. A dark ride would through the human body would habe been such a great ride. The previous plans for the Land and the Seas, would have really been a wonder to behold IMO. Those glass domes would have created an amazing look for the pavilion and the balloon ride looked like something I would have loved as a child. And for the Seas, riding through an aquarium in a glass tube is really great idea that really should have been executed originally.

I have to ask, is there ideas for pavilions that never did come to fruition in one way, shape or form?

That's good to hear! Gives me a glimmer of hope (depending on what gets put there of course). It is sad about Energy. Agreed it's nice they aren't demoing it but seems like such a waste for queue and pre-shows. No reason a dark ride couldn't have gone in there and still have space to expand but nope. I'm very much against the coaster. Sigh. I'd maybe be less so if we were getting a solid dark ride in the Energy building and the coaster separate but even then ... but I guess like I say, it is what it is at this point.

Imagine a completely refurbished Energy attraction. Even using Guardians if they had to. State of the art projection and audio. 3D movies, 3D cyc dioramas with projection effects. Dimensional projections of prehistoric creatures flying through the cyc painting skies, using the 3D glasses in the dimensional diorama. Wrap around, seamless 3D theatres. Restored animatronics. New visual effects. New, state of the art travelling theatres.

But what do I know (my dreaming, nothing official!)

I'd be the first in line.

I only throw out IP ideas because I know that's where their head is at. My first and always first preference would be originally created attractions. But we know that's not the world we're in right now :(

So I hope for the best and try to find a middle ground. I'm bracing for the worst and hoping for some glimmers of good.

I'd resent Guardians (and I actually like them!) less in Epcot if we were getting an impressive dark ride, as you said, in Energy, even if it were using Guardians.

Why can't they use WALL-E? I know Guardians is a big blockbuster but there's more fitting uses for Future World (I know I'm not saying anything you don't already think/agree with!)

Wow, you just had to paint this picture didn't you! Insult to injury!! New state of the art traveling vehicles alone would have been freaking awesome not to mention all the other goodies you listed.

I'd be disappointed if whatever their plans are for the building involve removing the nice area to roam around in. That's the big pluses with The Land and Seas. You're going into a building with thing*s* to do, not a single thing. You can walk around and explore without ever getting into line.

I think you’ll still be able to roam. You may infact have to.

Yep. Although The Land is a mess because of the food court and Soarin, IMO. Something's gotta give there. It's not a pleasant pavilion anymore.

Curious.

Could you maybe give a vague thought on what may happen to the Land. I've got an idea but I'd like to maybe be wrong. It just seems fitting of what they're currently doing.
Currently it’s between a full pavilion overhaul (like 1994 and 2005) or just the ride and the theatre. Up to now I’ve not heard of IP for the ride (!)

At this time a new Harvest Theatre film is proposed for around when Rat opens. Boat ride has now moved to TBA.
