With Disney buying Marvel what park in WDW will be impacted by this?

I'm writing up my idea. Should be done sometime next week. I'll make sure you see it.:D
Don't be offended if I dislike it...
Tell me why Stark Industries in Innoventions would "suck".

Or why Iron Man in Tland would "suck".

Because it does not fit the theme. TL is about the "magical" future. The Sci Fi, the future that will never be. A utopia, almost.

The Superhero universe you want to add to it is almost dystopian.

The same for Innoventions. That pavilion is about tomorrow's tech with science and innovation.

Unless Stark becomes REAL, and starts making REAL tech, I fail to see the connection.

Eddie Sotto's entire purpose for being here was to explain the WDI process and encourage people to express the ideas that inspired. I think that is pretty commendable.

So, why don't you throw some ideas out there and let the wdwmagic community decide if they suck or not?

I have to go but I'll check back and see what you created later. Later.

Just out of curiosity, were you a comic fan back in your day? or are you just excited that Disney finally got a fresh shot in the arm? :D

Sorry, but I don't really agree with that at all. AE was one one of the best attractions to come to Tland. It was far from utopian. An attraction you yourself have said you want back I believe.

*Sigh*

As Emperor Palpatine would say,"You have a lack of vision."

I view the whole Stark/Innoventions crossover as Stark showcasing those technological innovations. In other words, using the fiction to introduce the reality. I'm not saying make the Pavilion "Iron Man". In my head, there would be a small section of the pavilion that would show the armor, but no Iron Man in costume, no action.

But more on that later.

Besides, it would get people into Innoventions when it isn't raining.

True. But at least it was original, and Disney created.

You yourself have pined (like I have!) for ORIGINALITY form WDI. Why would you want un-originality, here?

I don't know about the Innoventions idea. It seems like a tie in that screams of "we are trying to make this interesting when it really isn't". Which, Innoventions is. It IS boring. But Disney should be able to come up with something ORINGAL to help it along, not have to use Marvel as a crutch. And it's EPCOT....It doesn't need a character (save for JII!) to get it's point across. It's not that type of park.

Ive always hated the name Innoventions.

It should be called Stark Labs:Communicore with the other building called Stark Labs: Robotics (this is where the raytheon exhibit should be located along with new stuff like maybe a section dedicated to WDI's new animatronics like they will have at D23:zipit:)

Because I don't believe we're going to get originality. I firmly believe that. Iger has already said he wants theme park attractions that promote synergy.

And if I'm going to get an attraction I'd like at least one that caters to me, instead of 5 year olds.

Eh, I'd be okay with it. EPCOT Center is dead, and Epcot is still the best park.

Concerning Epcot. Unless they are planning to go back to there roots get rid of all the tacky stuff and call it Epcot Center again and redo Imagination...unless there going to do that then all I will say is:

Marvel Science Charecters presenting exhibits > Finding Nemo/Three Cabelleros/Ellen Degeneris/Bill Nye/Obnoxious Figment/Eric Idle/Canada guy/lady with hooker boots in SSE

Synergy can be creative with the existing Disney Characters. Even be creative with them.

And it could cater to you, too.

Agreed on the last statement. Epcot (eww, I hate typing it like that.:lookaroun) is still the most unique of all Disney's parks. Why would you want to change that by adding the Marvel stuff?

The park is a wasteland in its current state. The only pavillions still worth anything are The Land and some of the world showcase countries.

But I've had enough Buzz Lightyear. I've had enough happy go lucky cartoon characters. I love them, but sometimes grown ups want to be treated like grown ups, even at Disney.

I'd rather have Bruce Banner or Reed Richards talking to me about energy in the UoE than Mike and Sulley.

I think 90% of guests (kids and adults) would prefer this as well.

I guess I'm crazy to think Ellen should be kept in the ride, but just updated! I love that ride....

Really? Do you have a link? I never knew about this

About what?

Also an update from leemac:

For clarity NBC-U have been told that they will have no further access to additional Marvel characters (IoA had been looking at exploiting one of the other killer franchises in the stable). Disney are currently evaluating whether to break the existing arrangement (which is possible). That is specifically why WDP&R have been silent on the announcement. Ultimately no contract is cast-iron (pardon the pun) - there are almost always change of control clauses when one party is purchased by a competitor

And so you're suggesting that you be treated like a grown up by having comic book characters teach you about energy.

LOL.

Good one.

Yup. Much more than Mike and Sully taking me on a tour of Mostropolis while trying to find Boo, and then at the end telling me how energy is important.

And I enjoyed you're attempted snarky "LOL".

Wasteland? Are we going to the same park?

It is not the original, no...But it has it's fantastic attributes and it's merits!

Recant, sir, recant!

I doubt that that is happening, now.... There are (small) plans in place for a real UoE update.

I think MI was just a silly rumor to begin with.
