With Disney buying Marvel what park in WDW will be impacted by this?

Then I truly feel sorry for you. The parks, and the Disney empire were founded on nostalgia. Just take a good look at the world that surrounds you. Every creative/artist in this world, that concepts the rides you love, the movies you see, even Spiderman, all have nostalgic undertones, wether you choose to see them or not is entirely up to you.

I am not against Marvel in Disney, and I wasn't attacking you, so please keep the sarcastic BS to a minimum.
I think nostalgia is the main reason why people like Disney so much and why Disney is so successful. It reminds them of something that they enjoy from their past. What may be nostalgic for some, will not affect others.
Besides, there are more important issues in the world today other than whether or not Marvel gets a ride in Epcot and ruins people's day...division I college football started today and we STILL don't have a playoff system!!!!

How about MAGIC starts a fanboi comic character thread where y'all can go back and forth about them all day?

I may enjoy many of the films and absolutely believe the books and graphic novels can be works of art, but wading thru threads like this is truly mind-numbing.

And since it's 100% speculation that isn't based on anything real, it really is akin to someone starting a thread based on what a bus driver told them.

I'm just waiting for that first thread about ''we were coming back to OKW and our busdriver said that Disney put Universal out of business in Florida and was going to build a fifth theme park all with Marvel characters and they'd be moving the Spiderman ride from IOA over here and the Hulk coaster, which will be placed in a big green domed building and they're gonna have a Captain America character buffet'' ... I'm hoping it happens when I'm in Paris!

'74, I respect you, and like you as a poster. But I get it, you don't like the thread. Ignore it and move on. It's not that hard.

I think what some of the Marvel fans are forgetting is that for many adults superheroes are as childish as Mickey Mouse.

But I must say this thread has some of the most fantastic examples of delusional fanboyism that I've ever seen.

People who have complained about too much Pixar and too much characterization in the parks have suddenly decided characters are fine as long as they're Marvel superheroes.

What a joke.

You sir, win the thread! :sohappy::sohappy::sohappy::sohappy:

The thing is EVERY thread is becoming the same ... all Marvel fanboi (wearing those Spidey undies, boys?) all the time.

But don't worry, holiday weekend coming up and I am headed off-continent and then to LA/DL, so I won't be reading let alone commenting here for most of the rest of the month.

Disney buying Marvel IS news. But you're smart enough to realize most of what is being posted here isn't. It's armchair Imagineering at best ...

I dunno about winning the thread, but I do know that post was great in the way it summed up what's going on in this magical realm.

I look forward to your DLP update.

Ride Indy for me...because I wanna know if it really is as bad as I've heard.

It may not appear before October, but I'll put some thoughts up ...

Ride Indy for me...because I wanna know if it really is as bad as I've heard.

I've ridden it many times in past visits. It isn't really all that bad ... it's just not very good. It does provide great views of the green countryside beyond DLP ... and it's not a bad ride. There just isn't all that much to it. But it was thrown it very quickly because the park didn't have much 'thrilling' when it opened and Europeans expected a theme park to have rolley coasters (remember Space Mtn didn't open with the park).

You shouldn't let any female (or male if ya swing that way) know that.
Hell, you shouldn't let anyone know that!:ROFLOL:

I will know what goes on/down at D23 just fine ... I have spirits in many places.

But enjoy yourself at the Expo ... and Rasulo will be uncomfortable enough having to paste on a smile and read some PR pablum cooked up for him, so I'd smile and clap politely.

I've seen videos, which never do rides justice, and that's the vibe I got from it. There just doesn't seem to be anything Indy about it.

That will depend on what he announces. He is going to have to earn his claps! :ROFLOL:

As long as Star and EO are announced I will be pleased. Bonus if ANYTHING gets announced for WDW.
