OMG! What a shock today! Keep it up TDO!

SO, anyone know what happens to Hallowishes, Holiday Wishes and NYE Fantasy this year with this news??? I'm guessing Celebrate America is safe? Hopefully the Castle Dream Lights go in this come Nov!

Might this go more than once a night if it's spectacular and we don't have FOF at night or a night parade?
No changes to special event offerings yet.

Not sure if anyone has posted this on this thread yet or not but...for anyone interested in getting a sneak peak at the music. It's taken from Hong Kong Disneyland. This is a version of the main song in Chinese.

That is a good point, but I would hope WDW realises that the fireworks are a big selling point, not just for the Pirates cruise but also at Cali Grill, Polynesian (in general) and other events such as the ferryboat party.

....and one of the main reasons people pay so much for TPV rooms. I don't think Disney would take that aspect out of it. Too many parties/views/dining are themed around the fireworks.

Regarding the contemporary music, expect things along the lines of how FoF and HalloWishes. I am personally not too concerned. The reduction in pyro will be enough to be apparent, but not enough to make too juch of a difference. Some of these segments are really going to be worth seeing, IMO, as I am very impressed with somethings. This will hardly last forever ala wishes, but I would expect a net positive to come out of this.

At the end of the day, I'm pleased to see something new using recent infrastructure upgrades. It gets tiring hearing "not til the 50th!" as if this company cannot afford anything new for the next five years. It's okay to give us new fireworks in 2017 AND 2021. Such a hub-centric show should negate any crowd-control benefits that came from the hub project, however.

Excellent theme and I've thought so since it came out, but I would have rather them take The Dream Goes On or Happiness is Here if they were going to take a theme. TDR really gets the best themes.

I'll venture a guess that there's no chance of it being more than once a night. All shells would have to be repacked and the show completely re-set. That's not a quick process.

When was the last time you where there to see it? We were there a few weeks ago and the globe projections could be seen great from all around the WS and the lasers looked awesome.

In reference to you saying it's boring to you: Have you taken the time to read up on the background story and what each section represents? It is pretty fascinating IMHO.
Last month. Three or four times. I can't remember exactly how many times. Most nights of our trips we're over at Epcot.

It's not nearly large enough is the problem. I'm sure it is fascinating, but unless you're right up front, you can't see the projections. I'm only 5 feet tall, so if I get stuck behind someone tall, well, I end up standing there, watching nothing, waiting for the fireworks to restart. Even up front, it is challenging to tell exactly what is going on because it's so small. It needs to be bigger.

I'm quite ready for some Illuminations updates, if not a complete replacement. I'm glad Wishes is getting replaced, even though I've always enjoyed Wishes.
