well, the sentiment certainly exists in some minds, though i have a hard time believing it's done with as much malice as ford would believe; however, certain decisions made do make one wonder o_O

regardless, think you'll find the truth is more akin to "if it ain't broke, don't spend the money to fix it"

not lazy per se, just business
:greedy:

The only place I think actual malice exists in TDO's thought processes is the extreme rapidity of attraction demolition once closed, almost as if someone wants to preclude 'second thoughts' by clearer heads like hey that attraction was more popular than we thought and we need the capacity so lets spruce it up and reopen it.

The rest are simply actions taken by a hyper financialzed company.

To be fair I don’t think there’s enough buses to cover that post-show exit crowd, tonight alone Main Street had to close 30 minutes before the show due to capacity.
There never has been imo, but putting a bandaid on this issue by announcing that there will be delays in transportation is just tacky and unnecessary when they could actually deal with the issue at hand.

It would be physically impossible to have enough transportation to get the amount of guests that leave after the fireworks out within a timeframe that would be considered quick by most guests' standards. The roads simply cannot handle that many buses and the monorails cannot operate that quickly. To have an announcement that reminds the guest of this fact and encourages them to stay a bit longer is a big win, in my opinion. That way those who insist on leaving will leave and have a shorter wait and people will trickle out as the night goes on. It's a win for everyone involved.

But whatever, people will always find something to complain about.

Now that I agree with. It was ridiculous they had HEA at 9pm and then park close at 10pm through most of the summer! Last night's 10pm show with park close at midnight was a good way to even it out.

This. They need to extend the hours and not have the nighttime shows be at park close. It's chaos. It will still be chaos but maybe less so if the park stays open a few hours after the night shows (on a regular basis, not saying it doesn't know at times).

I don't necessarily mind the announcement, but at the same time, do something about the chaos. I don't think "more busses" is the answer. Extending the hours, encouraging guests to stick around and explore. Remind them that the Main Streets of the park are open an hour after park close (I assume this is still the case) ...

I don't normally stick around for night shows because I don't enjoy the mass crowds and I was so tired when I saw HEA for the first time (a few days after it started), I got caught in the ferryboat area. They do the best they can but the waits are long. It takes time and people need to understand this.

And getting out of DHS at park close is another nightmare I hope gets addressed. I got caught in it and waited for quite a while to exit one night, again why I don't normally stay to park close). I guess I could wait around but I'd rather just get it over with and head out, I'm normally "done" by that point at night anyway and have no energy to walk around anymore.

Well, by exiting, I meant waiting in my car to leave the parking lot lol. I've not felt crushed by people exiting DHS to the parking lot though, I agree on that.

To have to tell someone over the pa means you have failed to establish the fact through other means. It's like having to ask " you do really love me right?"...

Don't forget the message being said here is "avoid pain... do something else"... instead of simply a positive message that encourages people to stay on the positive merits alone.

That's why it stands out.

I dont have an issue with the intent of the message but the wording needs work. It should just remind guests that the park is still open and encourage them to enjoy other offerings. Honestly I could see this version having the opposite effect on some guests as now they will be aware of potential transportation issues. This may cause them to decide to head out quickly and join the masses to start the process when they otherwise may have stayed a bit longer.

That announcement would suck the Disney right out of the moment for me. I agree - keep the park open after the end of the show.
