Why did you pick your online name?

I originally used my full, real name, but realized I might be exposing myself to needless problems. Since this forum has a large number of relatively young (35 & under) posters, and I'm closer to their parents in age (and even older than some), a lot of them started calling me Mom. When I changed my name, that just seemed to fit. However, Tramp can still call me Mistress Marcia, and a few more mature (i.e. old) individuals call me by my first name. ;)

Maria, after visiting many forums, I'm quite surprised that you don't have to bat the snarling Tex Avery-like men away. My wife almost always uses a man's name in order to avoid all the juvenile hyjinx that us men are want to do.

No offense, but it took a lot of guts to use that name...

I'm even more impressed at the general level of class of the people on this forum...

I actually regretted once or twice having my real name as a screen name here.... as Marcia said, I realized I had shared more info than I should sometimes, but by the time I thought about changing it, it was too late.... *shrug*

I am Peter Pan. I refuse to grow up and will remain a boy at heart forever. One of these days I will figure out how to do this avatar thing. I need to spruce my posts up a little bit.

I chose Tigggrl because Tig is my Favorite...and I have used it forever...I usually get to use it everywhere, in some form or another...I am alot like Tig normally... pretty bouncy and go go go....But according to the Beasts library, I am most like Cinderella...:)

WDW-Imagineer... well, there really isn't that good of an explanation. I like Walt Disney World (WDW), and I'm interested in Imagineer... who knows, maybe one day I'll be one. So there you have it, WDW-Imagineer. :dazzle:

I chose "sillyspook" because of the Haunted Mansion. I am the silly spook that hangs out there and haunts the place upon occasion. (I actually convinced one CM that I am a ghost....  ) 13 is my (un) lucky number. Funny thing, I've never tried to use "sillyspook" without the 13 suffix. It's always "sillyspook13", even if I am the first spook!:p

well, i think mine's pretty self explanatory (sp?) i just love Disney! i've grown up with it...or should i say, we've grown up together. i've seen Disney World expand and change, and, well, it's done basically the same with me! it's like an old friend.
as for the spelling, well, a dear friend of mine helped me with that...he was helping me create an ICQ nickname, and he came up with Dizknee Phreek.

Its a damn good thing I didnt make my name "Player"

Would have been more fitting, Now... ;)

I think I actually posted the reason somewhere else, but I'll go through this again....

I cover pro hockey as a writer, and the link between Disney and the Mighty Ducks was obvious.... and I liked that for the first month I was on the forum, my gender wasn't obvious so until I got to know everyone, no one hassled me.

Mallory is now my avatar because she's loyal and tough. :) And she's smart, too.

Well, mine is probably a boring one, and has nothing to do with Disney.

Until last July, I worked in Cleveland, OH for a company that proocessed medical transactions. I was once responsible writing custom applications for a credit card terminal, that allowed Doctor's offices and Pharmacies to transmit medical claims. The terminals were called ZON terminals. So, when changes to the applications were needed, they'd call the 'ZON guy' to make the changes.

:snore:

OK, wake up....;)

PS... anyone know someone that is looking for a good, dependable, Project Engineer? :lookaroun
