Ok folks, I know there's already a similiar thread out there somewhere but I couldn't find it...so humor me.
I totally loved the other thread going right now about the SSE reopening WDWmagic meet n' greet(whew, that was a mouth full)because of the awesome pics. It was great to finally put faces with names and compare my mental picture of what ya'll look like with what you actually look like. I was so surprised to find out that JediMaster isn't a overweight middle aged guy with gray hair and glasses. Who knew?
SO...I thought it would be cool to have a thread where we could introduce ourselves and maybe post a favorite pic of ourselves in our most favorite place in all of the world.
One of my favorite things about WDW is meeting other folks who are passionate about Disney/WDW like I am. Back home here in the mountains of Western NC, we don't know any other Disney Freaks and we get quite a bit of grief from our co-workers and family for being so Disney crazy. I've become really good friends with several of you(hi Steve, Heather and Ron:wave
and have met a few of you in the parks(Howdy Vernon and HCSwingfield:wave. I was so looking forward to meeting you wonderful guys and gals at Celebration 25 last October but I was as sick as a dog that day and as soon as the Rededication ceremony was over I cut a trail for World Showcase and hid out there all day.
Once again, I know a similiar thread already exists so if someone wants to post a link that will be great but for those of you who want to join in and aren't freaked out about giving out a teeny bit of personal info on an online forum...here we go...
My name is Matt and I'm a lifelong Disney fan who transformed into a Disney Junkie in April of 2005 when my beatiful new bride and I first visited our beloved Walt Disney World on our honeymoon. We've been hopelessly hooked ever since.
Since then we have been five more times. We joined the DVC in January of last year and we currently have two trips booked for this year. We will be there in April from the 10th through the 19th and we will be there again during the holiday season from November 28th through December 7th. In April we will be meeting up with sbKline and his wife and in December we will be taking my wife's cousin and her husband. We also plan on going in February of 2009 for my birthday.
We have stayed at AKL,CBR,WL,SSR,OKW and BWV. Our favorite resort is AKL followed very closely by WL.
My favorite park is probably MK but I can honestly say I love them all equally for different reasons.
My favorite attractions are Splash Mountain, Mickey's Philharmagic, Haunted Mansion,Pirates of the Caribbean, The Great Movie Ride, Kilimanjaro Safaris and Soarin'.
My favorite show is Fantasmic, hands down, followed closely by Finding Nemo the Musical.
My favorite fireworks presentation is Wishes followed very closely by Illuminations.
My favorite places to dine are Le Cellier, Boma, California Grill, Le Chefs de France, Yak & Yeti, Sci Fi Dine In, 50's Prime Time Cafe, Whispering Canyon, San Angel Inn and the late great Alfredo Di Roma's.
