On my day off at disney, I want to visit some of the resorts that I have never seen. What are the top five resorts that are fun and interesting to visit?

Definatley all they listed above, just wanted to say have fun; that is one of my favorite things to do when I visit Disney. If you can try to catch a bite to eat or a drink at their bar while you are there.

1. Animal Kingdom Lodge
2. Boardwalk (which you can hit Yacht and Beach as well as they are right across the water)
3. Poly -- Tiki bar is my favorite! (which you can do the monorail to see Contemporary and GF)
4. Wilderness Lodge

Figure I'll leave a number 5 off seeing that I mentioned > 5 hotels!

5. Pop Century

Before people go asking why did you but a value resort on the list, I think pop and the all stars have something different to offer then the others. to me they have a very disney feel to them. and besides who doesn't want to see huge mr. and mrs. potato heads?

1 - Polynesian (try to time the visit so you can catch the Electrical Water Pageant, if you've never seen it before - viewable at 9pm from the beach at the Poly or for the fireworks)

2 - Grand Floridian

3. - Contemporary

4. - Wilderness Lodge

5. Animal Kingdom Lodge (walk to one of the viewing areas that are located on the Savannah side)

Rather than recommend my 5 faves, I'll suggest maximizing your time by focusing on either the MK or Epcot resorts. Don't know if you have a car or will rely on Disney transportation. You could for example, go to Poly, then hop the monorail to GF, followed by the Contemporary. Depending on the season, there may be water launches to/from the Contemporary and FW/WL. use them. If they're not available, then after Contemporary walk to MK and take the water launches to those resorts from there.

Otherwise, go to Beach Club for Breakfast at the Cape May Café, then peruse the Beach Club, Yacht Club, Boardwalk, Swan & Dolphin, go back to your resort to freshen up, then have dinner at Boma in AKL.

1) Beach Club (I love to sit in the rocking chairs on the porch near Cape May Cafe' - especially in the evening)
2) Animal Kingdom Lodge (we have yet to visit this one, but the pics look nice)
3) Polynesian (beautiful lobby)
4) Grand Floridian
5) Ft. Wilderness/Wilderness Lodge (very scenic w/ lots of places to walk, ride boats, horses, etc.)

*I also enjoy the boat ride to DTD from POR or POFQ.
