Which park would you skip?

Tricky question. I don't think I would visit WDW without doing all four theme parks, but if I did... it would probably AK, though I love that park, because it is young and doesn't yet have enough attractions to fill an entire day, and has no nighttime fireworks or parades. MGM, Epcot and MK have these, and so would be the three I would do.

In fact, this recent trip I was forced to cut out AK almost entirely due to a mixture of family troubles, bad weather, and having to cut the trip half-a-week short. :( All I got done was Everest, DINOSAUR and Primeval Whirl, so I was disappointed, but if I return, I'll make sure I do the rest of the park.

MGM, no doubt. Even though it's (by far) my least favourite park, there's still a lot about it that I like - but it's only a "three meal" park if you do stuff like the hideous Narnia attraction and the once-is-all-you-need Lights, Motors, Action show. I'd probably try to park hop if I were in your situation and have full days at MK and Epcot and then do Animal Kingdom for the bulk of the third day before hopping to MGM to see the Muppets and ride the (few) e-tickets before seeing Fantasmic.

The Disney-MGM Studios.

Great Movie ride, Tower of Terror, and (sometimes) Rock 'n' RollerCoaster... and I feel like I've done everything there is to do at the park.

I'd have to say AK..We do all the parks when we're there but if I was only there for a few days then I'd skip it..Just not a big animal person..Not very many rides compared to MK or Epcot..

This is a hard one - I love all of the parks! :D Are water parks included? If so, then I'd probably say Blizzard Beach. And without water parks... hmm... I think it would have to be Animal Kingdom, because like others have said, there isn't enough attractions compared to the other parks.

We don't do any of the water parks. We hit the main four everytime. But if I had to choose one it would have to be AK. It's not that I don't like it, but it's not on the top of my list. Sorry Joe Rhode.

I'd have to say Animal Kingdom also....Half day park if you plan right, MGM is like a 3/4 Day park, and Epcot Center (:king: ) and MK are Full day....:drevil:

I think I'd have to pass on MGM Studios. I really enjoy Tower of Terror but I don't think I'd be heartbroked if I missed the rest.. I do enjoy the park though, but it is my least favourite of the four..

Our park priorities, for the 4 true parks, are:

1. Magic Kingdom
2. MGM Studios
3. Animal Kingdom
4. EPCOT

So, if I had to absolutely, positively skip one it would be EPCOT.

:) :) :) :)

In order of visiting

1. Animal Kingdom
2. EPCOT
3. Studios
4. MAgic Kingdom

My own personal reasons for Magic kingdom being last are:

The huge areas of closed of closed tracts of land i.e approximately the first 100m of Adventureland as you enter from the hub, then when you pass this you are left facing the boring treehouse and the god awful completely out of character Aladdins Magic Carpets.

The former 20,000 leagues area, the area taken up by the stinking speedway, The Golden Horseshoe, Skyway Stations, The Galaxy Theatre ( I have never seen nor wanted to see any show on this stage).

The poor updates/replacements for old shows i.e Tiki Room Under New Management:Stitch: Monsters Inc (a show based on picking a member of the audience and making them feel completely self conscience, the one time I watched it I felt sorry for the guy who was picked on)(whats magic about that?)

While the last time I visited, the last week in June 1st week July is a very busy period I thought the Magic Kingdom was the dirtiest of all the parks, I realise that the Magic kingdom is twice a busy as the other parks but I felt it could still have been cleaner especially in frontierland which was the worst.

Magic Kingdom should be the best park as it has the larger number of classic attractions like Splash, Space, Big Thunder, Philharmagic, Pirates and Jungle Cruise but this last trip to be honest once was enough.

I would have to say that if I skipped one park on a trip(and I do have a trip coming up and will be skipping it myself, even if the rest of my family goes to it) it would be Animal Kingdom. There are really only three things I go to AK for and those are Expedition Everest(which I shouldn't ride due to health concerns), Kali River Rapids(which I prefer the Roman Rapids at Busch Gardens Williamsburg) and Kilimanjaro Safaris(which is not enough to be the sole reason for me to visit Animal Kingdom). The day my family goes, my wife will be meeting with a friend of hers from Orlando and they will all go together. I'll be visiting one or two places in Orlando that I miss going to instead and just meet up with my family when they are done at AK.

The park I spend the most time at is Epcot. I could seriously spend at least half my trip there and still have fun each time I'm there.

I would have to say for me it would be Animal Kingdom. I only go on 5 attractions at least everytime some times more but ususally 5 and there are no firework shows.

I'd have to say AK. To me going to it all the time is boring... WIth the exception of Everest, Kali River Rapids, and Dinosaur. I do all those and get out 2 hours top at the park and I feel fulfilled.

Animal Kingdom. It is truly a beautiful park to be in and by this point I think there's enough there to keep me busy until dark, but there's just not enough there that I really love. If I missed out on something at AK I could rest assured that I'd find something as fun and educational a few minutes away from home at the Bronx Zoo. It also probably has something to do with it being the youngest park--I just don't have as many memories and favorite attractions there as I do at the other three parks.

I understand that MGM is now a hodge-podge that has lost a lot of what made it special, but there's still enough there that excites me (and reminds me of my childhood) that I wouldn't knock it off the list.

Animal Kingdom: It tends to be very hot approx 5 degrees hotter than the rest of the parks. It only has 3 rides that we like (EE, tough to be a bug, KS) . There isn't a fireworks show. Meal options are very limited. Travel there is not great. The bus system out there stinks, so we always drive.
When we take all that in consideration we usually go first thing on a EMH early morning stay for 1-2 hours and then go back to Epcot.

Skipping a park, for me, wholly depends on the ages (and for that matter maturity levels) of the guests in question.

Little kids might enjoy some of the more youth-targetted areas in MGM and AK, so for them, Epcot with its seemingly-endless World Showcase wouldn't be a whole lot of fun. I'd personally skip AK, as I've never found more than Everest really exciting (until then, my family used to have to FORCE me onto Dinosaur and even then I was all "No! I get it! Scary Dino! Good Dino! I get it! I'll watch Jurassic Park now let me leave." ((I was rather petulant)))

The group of friends (all of us are college aged) I went with, one of them (a 21 year-old self proclaimed Disney-magic-lover, and Tink fanatic), hated MK. We spent 6 days of our 10 day trip in the MK for at least part of the day, but by the second day, she was done and just kept going to AK, where the rest of us couldn't be dragged. Part of the allure of the AK is likely the safaris, but growing up in Central NJ, I've done the Six Flags Great Adventure safari enough times to know I don't love safaris (though I did one or two of them in AK and they were plenty nice).

SO! IN LONG WINDED CONCLUSION! It really seems to vary from person to person. Me? I'd skip AK - I'm not an animal person and for such a huge park, there isn't enough there that interests me. Epcot probably bores younger children (though admittedly, I could not find that much to do in Epcot this trip). MGM is awesome but in desperate need of new attractions. And I guess not everyone wants to live in the MK, but I think they're crazy.
