Which park would you skip?

The poor updates/replacements for old shows i.e Tiki Room Under New Management:Stitch: Monsters Inc (a show based on picking a member of the audience and making them feel completely self conscience, the one time I watched it I felt sorry for the guy who was picked on)(whats magic about that?)

Sorry, but anyone who feels "completely self conscience" because they keep saying you're going to buy everyone churros or some other jokes has bigger problems than being put up on a screen.

Honestly, these days it's Epcot. When my friend visited me as a CM, it was the only park we didn't go to. And my last trip there, I only spent long enough in Epcot to do Nemo and Friends for the first time, Soarin' and watch Illuminations.

I love every park, but the attractions in Epcot aren't that good. The park is about more than the attractions, but I've gotten tired of that appeal. I still like going, mostly for World Showcase, now and then, but in a cramped period of time, it's the park I sacrifice.

Funny. It used to be my favorite.

This is a hard one - I love all of the parks! :D Are water parks included? If so, then I'd probably say Blizzard Beach. And without water parks... hmm... I think it would have to be Animal Kingdom, because like others have said, there isn't enough attractions compared to the other parks.

This makes me wonder: how many attractions do people actually like doing in MGM? Sure, it has more attractions, but it seems like the consensus is usually you're good after:

Star Tours
Great Movie Ride
Rockin'
Tower
Muppets
MAYBE LMA or Epic

At DAK you have:
Dinosaur
Everest
ITBAB
Kilamanjaro
And alot of people who aren't me seem to like Kali
MAYBE Festival of the Lion King and Primievil Whirl

Is it really that different? Is it really necessarily in MGM's favor?

And me personally, I would rank Dinosaur, Everest, ITBAB and Kilamanjaro over any Epcot attraction other than Soarin'.

Wow, what a question. I easily skip the water parks, but as to which major park to skip... I guess it would come down to Studios or AK. Before Everest, I would have said Animal Kingdom, but now I have to give it at least half a day. Then I would hate to give up the Studios because of Rock n Rollercoaster and Tower of Terror. Hm..... Glad it's a decision I don't have to make! :D

We usually skip MGM. There really isn't too much there that my family enjoys. If we have an extra half day then we will hop over there and do the few things we like.

We used to skip DAK, but now we love that park and spend the day happily exploring.

Animal Kingdom. Dont get me wrong....I like AK, but if I had to skip a park that would be my choice. I don't do thrill rides, so EE is not a draw for me, and I don't like getting wet while at the parks, so Kali is also not a draw for me. We are actually planning to skip 2 parks on our next trip because it is going to be a shorter trip. We will be skipping AK and MGM. Not because we dont like them, but because MK and EPCOT are our 2 favorite parks. For some reason, we could do nearly everything at MK and EPCOT over and over again without getting bored....but we are kind of burned out on AK and MGM. I think it just comes down to personal prefences.

I could never skip any park. Skipping a park is a sin to me. Even though AK and MGm dont have the most, you can take in everything else. AK has plenty of things to look at, from animals to plants. The safari is never the same twice too. At MGM you can do all the big attractions, then you can spend some time catching up on your Walter Elias Disney History. MGM also has some great shopping which you can do.

Either way, i can find a way to make these parks into full day parks. Personally i never get tired of riding all the major attractions plus i love to take in the environment.

I too have to agree with this.

Last August, my wife and I took our first trip without kids (actually, it was our first time away from the kids since they were born...our oldest was almost 9). We arrived Friday evening and left Sunday afternoon. Friday evening was spent at EPCOT (we were staying at the Boardwalk) drinking margaritas and watching Illuminations), then off to MK for EMH. Saturday morning, we took the boat to MGM, stayed for a few hours and rode things we couldn't with the kids, then back to the Boardwalk to get ready for dinner at 'Ohana, then the boat to MK for the rest of that evening...then, Sunday morning was at EPCOT (Early EMH). The only place we didn't get to was AK, and that was because we just slept too late (they were having early EMH on Saturday). The trip really didn't feel complete to me, or her. We all really enjoy all of the parks and don't feel like a complete trip without all of them.

That said, we are (and were) AP holders, which made it easy to hop around, and if we missed a show or ride we really wanted, we knew we'd hit it next trip.

Animal Kingdom gets a REALLY bad rap it seems. I don't see why it's overlooked or left off because it's "not a full day park"

I don't know how anyone can stay at a park from opening to closing anyway, lol! I guess going by myself I get more accomplished quick so ... Anyway, AK is a beautiful park. It's honestly, IMO, got THE most shade of all of the parks, beautiful scenery, lots of true attention to detail, awesome restaurants, a ton of character meet and greets, two fantastic impressive shows, several great rides. I was there from opening one day until about 4:00pm and was completely satisified. So what if it doesn't have fireworks at night? Is that really a basis to skip a park? I dunno, I just don't understand why AK is like the "stepchild" of the other three. Me, I love Disney but I prefer MGM. I don't know why, it's always been my favorite park.

For me though, if I had to skip a park it's Epcot. I guess growing up I just never "got it". I'm planning my first full adult trip (most lately have been just quick day trips or overnighters) so I plan to spend a day at Epcot and really take it in and enjoy it, especially now that I can drink, haha. And I was there for a day trip this past May and all of the rides were ridiculous with their wait times and the crowds were horrible. I was a bit surprised.

Bravo!! Exactly what I was trying to get across. There's a lot more to the parks than the AMOUNT of rides and the fireworks, at least to me

You said it very good in your post before too. And the thing about going to Ak, is that it closes earlier than every other park, so you have time for another park after that. its not really like you have to stay at AK like you do Magic Kingdom.

And the same is wit me, you can do a lot more than rides and fireworks

Character Hunting
Put together some type of Scavenger Hunt
Scenery
etc

We have skipped parks before. I don't know what we would skip if we had to now.

AK - we stayed to watch the parade (which was actually pretty cool to see finally), went to Camp Mickey and Minnie and loved seeing my son's face getting to see the characters close up. We went to see Lion King musical and also the Nemo Musical. We really only like Safari as a ride, hubby went on Everest but wasn't too impressed by it. Bug's Life gets too hot at the bottom of the tree waiting to get in (we have seen it 2 times and know what to expect anyway) We don't do the rapids as we prefer to stay dry, our son is too little to enjoy the DinoLand games and such. Usually a half day park for us, this last trip though we stayed almost the whole day, had to leave after the parade to get to dinner.

MGM - went to Narnia when it was new and you could see the all the props after the little promo. Muppets we see usually every time. Hubby went on ToT, RnR, Star Tours by himself since I don't like rides like that. We saw Beauty and the Beast this time, stayed for Fantasmic. Saw Lights, Camera and Action one time and don't care to see it again. We have seen Little Mermaid and most of the other things at least once and don't really need to see them on every trip

Epcot - we like walking the countries and looking in the stores. We ate at LeCellier, Morrocco -many times and also in Japan. Nemo ride was cute, not something to do everytime or if there is a huge line as there was during the day (we went back at night and it was walk right on) Hubby loves Soarin' and could ride that many times. He rode Test Track and Mission Space on our last visit. We went to WoL when it was open at Christmas time 2005. Never bothered with Universe of Energy. We went to Honey I Shrunk and Imagination, met Figment afterwards for photos, and went to Character Connection as well.

MK - we hit parts we never hit before on our last trip. We have now covered every part of the park, still have a few things to go on.

We won't be going back for a few years now. We will be in DL in a few days will be able to see what rides are better there than in WDW.

My pick would be MK because I have a better one 15 minutes away. I'd rather spend my time doing things I don't have at home.

MGM

If it wasn't for Tower of terror and Rockin Rollercoaster, I wouldn't even bother going to this park.
MGM comes in a close second because of that very reason. I love those two rides. If they weren't there, I'd probably never go like you said.
