@donaldtoo and I grew up in the era prior to cable. There were basically 5 channels and PBS and that was prior to real programming for children on PBS. Saturday morning programming was for us kids. You found most kids parked in front of a TV on Saturday mornings and the parents got a peaceful Saturday morning to start their weekend.
I know; I was just teasing. My mom told me about Saturday mornings. And how she always had to go to her friend's house if she wanted to watch Saturday Morning cartoons because, according to her mother, they didn't get that channel up the street even though they got it down the street. :banghead: And this is partially why we called her the Wicked Witch of the West

I didn't really like the Person of Interest premiere, although it got better towards the end . I'm not sure if I'm going to like this season as much as I've liked the others. Have to wait and see, I guess.

Yeah, it didn't have a lot of substance. They seemed to be resetting the storyline. I wonder with how odd last season ended if they were having contract disputes with some of the actors??? They left the ability to write out some of the characters. Now it seems like they are trying to right the ship again. Some times it never really works.
They had a hard time after the lady police officer got bumped off last season.

We young people today can't imagine the world with the internet nevermind cable. When I was young I remember my dad having a big video camcorder. I think when they first came out. He also had a car phone the size of I don't know, a toaster with 4 slots....LoL all I know that it was big.

I had a Ninja Turtle camera when I was a little tike

Loved Gotham! Have How to Get Away with Murder recorded, have yet to watch though. Same with NCIS: New Orleans. I like the original NCIS, although I don't like the new girl. She gets on my nerves.

Yeah, I have to watch NOLA, I recorded it. I have to watch Madam Secretary too.

I was so mad when they killed off Carter. I think it was a mistake. I'm hoping they get things figured out soon, it was one of my favorites.

Hahaaa...!
Yes, as I was teasin' @MinnieM123 earlier in the week about, we had (all analog) the big 3 networks (ABC, CBS, and NBC), PBS, and one cheesy local station; channel 36. A very busty lady with a sultry voice (I kid you not - this was when we were livin' in San Jose, Ca.) would come on during commercial breaks and remind us that we were watching "The perfect 36"...!!! :joyfull: ;) :)
And, yes. Saturday mornings were OURS!!! :)

In Chicago there was always WGN a major TV and New outlet that ran reruns morning, afternoon and evening between news and the Bozo Show.

Then, I can't remember what it was when I was a kid but it was on the other frequency. UHF? there was one channel, don't remember what the call letters were back when I was small but it eventually became FOX. WGN carried the Cubs and Blackhawk games and the old Fox station carried the White Sox. They also did some reruns.

That's really all you needed back in the day. I watched PBS all the time when I was a kid. How could you go wrong with the Electric Company and Reading Rainbow? :)

That's a throwback. Though the Electric Company was before my time. We had a lot of Boston PBS shows (which is where most shows come from), even though RI has their own PBS

ABC, CBS, NBC, PBS, and 2 UHF channels in Boston area television. I don't think Fox even existed until many years later.

And in addition to cartoons, I used to love watching reruns of old Westerns. :)
