The mask.

He also wore it for a while during the reception, going from table to table, scaring the wits out of people.
My dad was awesome like that.

Jennifer, that's an amazing picture! Your dad had a great sense of humor, and I think some of that gift of comedy has also rubbed off on you, too! You've said some very funny things here from time to time. Even Goofyernmost is challenged, trying to keep up with the quips you dole out to him! HA! :hilarious:

Okay, back from the Frozen thread.
A couple of thoughts that I have no intention of sharing over there:

- I am less upset over this than the Poly desecration.

- Disney sits on a hot property forever, they get lambasted.
- Disney jumps all over a hot property, they get crucified.

- Maelstrom needed help. Way more than a general clean up. It certainly wasn't going to happen any time soon without a pressing reason.

- And darn it all, Epcot needs more rides - not "attractions", actual rides.

- Maybe it will turn out to be fun. They might do a superb job. Only time will tell.

- Now, while they're at it, add some rides to existing countries - uh hmmm ... river ride in Germany. Heck, the building is already there, is it not? Bullet train in Japan.

- Add a couple more countries while they're at it. The space exists. Top of my wish list - Greece, Australia, Polynesia, and "Africa" (not a specific country, but a nod to the culture). Heck, they've modelled entire resorts to the last two, but no "country" in World Showcase. And yes, I know Morocco is located in Africa, but like Egypt, it seems more mid-eastern in its culture, religion, and language.

Flame away, I don't care. At least you guys are my friends, and not likely to be insulting.
I'd be fine with Australia. :)

- Equally torqued about both.

- - It always seems to be a timing and/or placement thing with them. The timing is pretty darn good on this one, but, the placement sucks, IMO. But, repurposing will get maximum return on minimal investment.

- Pretty sure something like this may have been put on the table quite a while ago. They knew they were gonna' have to do something about it at some point in the relatively near future. As a result, they let it languish to see how the movie would do. Either way, they looked at it as a win/win. They could then either announce a grand refurb of a classic, or a "new" attraction based on their latest cash cow.

- Agreed. I just wish that whatever they do, they would stick to the stated original intent of the park.

- I would like to ride, at some point, at my convenience, just to see how it turned out. One and done.

- Actually, only the queue/loading portion of the building were ever completed, not the entire show building.

- Yes, more countries would be good. But, again, only if they get back to original intent and not convolute them.

And, that's all I've got to say about that... ;) :)

The same thing happened to Main Street USA. I can't believe the wonderful individual shops that have disappeared, simply to be replaced by one ginormous shop extending the whole block. :(

Ha!
This was part of a short discussion I had with youngest DD (19) last night. Although she was raised on Disney and loves it, she doesn't love it like our other 2 kiddos do.
We can have some fun discussions about TWDC that aren't all Pixie-dusted. :)
