Made it back. Cat is very happy. I'm exhausted. Our flight was delayed because that plane originated in Charleston, SC, and for some reason they had to shut down the airport. Wonder what my crazy relatives down there were doing to shut the airport down. ;) Compared to the 97 degrees that it was today in WDW, it feels chilly at 68 degrees.
Glad that you made all safe!!

Welcome back!

Conversation with a woman on the plane:
Woman: So are you in middle school or high school
Me: o_O College...
Isnt that good? they think you still look young!

Man, sending prayers to those affected by Napa's earthquake. :(

I'm still surprised a 6.0 quake caused such damage.
There are pictures and videos showing a lot of damage inside of houses.
Was it a very shallow quake?

When was he last seen?
Noone knows, hence why we've been "looking for him" since this thread started.

Pass. I don't do rattlesnake.

(I don't think this sammie from trr1 is for either one of us! :p )

Ok, no rattle-snakes, what about maracas?

Yes, shallow. Only about 6 miles deep.
Also, it was a "strike-slip" quake. Meaning lateral movement, instead of upward.
Plus, there were many older, historical buildings, not necessarily reinforced for such an event.

So sad. Prayers to all affected.

you know whats funny?
a lot of quakes in Mexico destroy newer buildings that supposedly are "up to date quake code".. yet the ancient cathedral in Mexico city.. as survived all the quakes relatively intact.
Even when it is pretty much sinking due of the unstable lake floor.

some older buildings are really built to last.
