I was doing a beer run last night and everything was Oktoberfest or pumpkin in the specialty section. I'm not ready for the fall stuff yet, I'm still wearing flip flops when I'm not working!

Yeah, fall and winter stuff is cropp'n up everywhere the last few weeks. It was chilly here today, I just turned the air on for a few hours to get the dampness out from all the rain so I will sleep well. (old)

Food and Wine is bringing in Craft Beer this year. This is one of them.

Walt is supposed to bark at the evil buggies to scare them off, to protect you. Tell him I said he's shirking his duty; he needs to get his bark on. No protection, no dog biscuits!;)

Yep! I'll share your thoughts with him. Too bad I can't dump Frontline on me too. He is 8 1/2. I've only had to put Frontline on him once before. Last month I found a tick and a flea on him. Frontline it was. Early this year.

When the hedge fund I worked for was taken over by a bank, we were required to follow all of the procedures for new bank hires - fingerprinting, drug testing, etc. I don't use drugs but I was still nervous as all heck. I must have drank 5 bottles of water before heading over for the test. I swear I am still to this day not sure how the practically pure water pee I provided was not red flagged.

And you will be excited - after the formalities. :)

My DS was pulled for a random drug test last year. It was hot August Day and had drank a great deal of water before going to work. His sample got flagged for watered down and he had to go again.

Observations:

Contemporary as a whole is in WAY better shape than BC. The soda machines actually have ice and, ya know, work. In the arcade, a bunch of the machines were disabled or just completely off. Only one skeeball machine was up, and it only had one ball. Prizes are also better at Contemporary

Music before Illuminations has mostly been redone. I think a few pieces are the same, but the majority is different.

I already said this on the RIP thread, but the crystal Castle in the glass case at the crystal shop in Germany has been replaced by a Genie. It seems like there is a greater presence of the character in that shop, even lamp earrings.

Sounds like a great day. Wandering by yourself for a while is always fun. I went to DTD just to look at the construction progress for a few hours while my DD was enjoying the sun at the pool. I can only do about an hour of the pool these days.
Yup. I love my family, but vacation can be too much togetherness. Also, I know I won't get the opportunity unless I go by myself.

I'm in WDW and feeling down. I think it is so much worse since he comitted suicide. So shocking and unexpected. I have never cried over a celebrity. I couldn't when I found out about him even though I really wanted to. This morning I did while reading some of the reactions to his passing. Just trying not to read about it too much, at least while in public. When I get back to the room, yes, but even so it feels like there's a cloud over everything.

Suicide makes it so much worse. I think when others pass, older actors, it will be sad but easier. This was just so unexpected. So terrible that someone who brought so much joy to others could not find joy within himself to keep going.

It is best you are where you are. I was with my DD in the car today and it was nearly 24 hours of talking about it already and I hit my saturation point. They were dragging in specialists on depression, drug and alcohol guest spots, comedians that were mere acquaintances. Now being a tad overdone and I'm now hearing marketing of upcoming guests to discuss it some more. I turned off the radio and put on my Parks CD.

I feel for the family, so much to deal with. Sad.

My father is so weird. Every night, he goes to bed and starts snoring. And I have the iPod on under the covers. And EVERY NIGHT he rolls over and tells me to turn off the iPod; it's keeping him awake; I need my sleep, whatever. Keep in mind this is after he had been SNORING. And then 15 minutes later he does the same thing until I turn it off.

Just seems like there's a cloud hanging around here. Reminds me of when I was in DL when Michael Jackson passed and everyone was sad (even though I didn't know much about him). Hoping a few thrills tomorrow will help. Still VERY sad though. Watching a lot of tribute videos and videos of his work.

Last week Sam's was still in Summer mode. Who knows this week.
No more Sam's up here. They pulled up roots a couple of years ago, with one month notice.
Memberships were still honoured in the U.S., but no refunds were offered.

My friend was mega-ticked, because she had just renewed her membership 2 weeks before the announcement.

I feel sorry for you.

My father was an administrator of a condo building (kinda big, around 150 or so individual condos in 3 towers)
and it was.. a literal nuthouse.

There were fights over anything, complains over anything..
My dad even got a death threat because he forced a condo owner to pay the 1+ years he owed of maintenance fees!
It was ridiculous!.
And Agree that some people just want to feel heard or in the spot of attention by complaining or causing trouble.

Thanks. It was long ago, my first place before I was married. I wanted a house for us and the Pup. The winters here are not fun to be taking the Pup out in all sorts of weather. I walked all my Pups almost everyday usually 2x but when it is awful it is nice to open the door and let them out the back door into the fenced yard and wait for a bark.

This Condo was small about 40 units. Parking was an issue, one spot per unit and then there were about a dozen spots up for grabs or visitors. It would have been an issue for DH to get a spot there with the hours he worked at night and street parking is not allowed between 2am and 6am.

The condo was in a great area close to everything in a nice quiet town that was originally, very long ago, summer homes, now is a full fledged suburb of Chicago. We moved North and then West to this house. Oddly my In-Laws moved out of Chicago and to the suburb where I had my Condo.

And yes, some of these older people were nuts in that unit. They were bored in retirement and wanted to interfere with other peoples lives just for entertainment, I was the youngest in the Condo. I didn't have time for that. I had a life, a career, I was going to school to pull a specific license and planning a wedding, they wanted to nit pick about my dog that spent 99.9% of her time in my unit and then only out the hallway door. I didn't go to condo meetings 'cause the people who did go believed they were the Grand Pupa's and the oracle of knowledge. It was a strange group of people. We were more careful in the future to not only look at the home but noting the neighbors too. Nope didn't have time for that.
