We had the following guests for a BBQ yesterday: some friends (who just returned from taking their 2 year old on her first Disney trip), my parents (bona fide Disney addicts) and my mother in law (doesn't like theme parks). When the friends asked when we were going back, hubby responded, "That depends - who wants to go this November?". I came clean on booking dining. People seem to want to go - who am I to deny them a trip?!

I heard some news and rumors that 7DMT won't be open 'til December. I beg of you...PLEASE, don't shatter their dreams like that. :(

This story warms my heart.

A 99-year-old woman was finally awarded her college diploma at a special graduation ceremony after a $5 diploma fee prevented her from receiving it 75 years ago.White says she used all her money, the $500 her uncle had given her for education only,to complete the required courses and could not afford the $5 diploma fee.

The School had a special graduation ceremony and a reception for her. The College President paid the Diploma fee.

My river/lake aka my street... Sorry they're a little dark, I took these from my front porch with no light or flash!

Edit, reuploaded...I did a quick photo edit job on them. Still kinda dark, but better than before.

I like how you follow the "no dark ride flash photography" rule, even in your yard.

That means we'll be getting it tomorrow - oh yay! And predicted high temperature tomorrow of 56 degrees!

Our forecasted monsoon missed us!! Second storm this week to go just North of us. We could use the rain, too.

Saw the soccer store opened in Disney Springs. I can't wrap my brain around the type of high end stores Disney is bringing in. My gut says a lot of browsing guests. Guests swiping their credit cards, not so much.

I'm quite curious what the prices will be there. As a regular browser (but rarely purchaser) at World Soccer Shop both online and in catalogs (yes, I'm old, I still get and read catalogs), I'm pretty knowledgable about jersey/equipment/shoe prices. If the store is even remotely in line with those prices, I will be very tempted to swipe my credit card. Quite a few times, most likely. DD and DW both would like some good soccer swag. DW wears her Euro 2012 shirt and DD wears her replica Spain jersey regularly. Since my Newcastle strip is way out of date (Northern Rock sponsor) and my Scotland and Aberdeen ones are from 1982 (and don't even fit DD any more), a decent price on something I can put my hands on would be welcome.

End comments of a crazed soccer player/fan now. BTW, this summer's trip to the World nicely coincides with the last week of the Disney Soccer Academy, which DD is quite excited to be taking part in.
