Can I be a bit of a space hog for a moment here?

thanks.

I'm on my desktop at home (not used to posting from here) because I have a ton of pics I wanted to dump into my Photobucket :)

New Jersey. Pics from Dec. 2012...

I haven't a clue what this thing is but it was the most delicious sweet bread Ive ever eaten.

And this, too.

Somehow that one made it home before being ripped into. It didn't last the weekend.

Get ready to lick the screen.

And the best cream cheese EVER. Angels made it, cherubs packaged it, and doves delivered it. They don't sell this in PA. It'll be worth the drive back to NJ to pick up a few more containers!

Ok, now I'm hungry.

And thank you @englanddg for the recipe! If I can leave the house today (we got more snow overnight and it's still falling) I'm SO making those this afternoon.

Oh Im sorry, you can't hear the sound of my head bashing the desk.

*sigh*

:banghead:

But seriously that's the best cream cheese in existence. And I'd just about kill for a bagel right now. Probably should have gone grocery shopping yesterday.... aaaaand probably should realize that by now when the weather forecast calls for one inch of snow, it really means 4-6. :banghead:

My favorite shopping for car story involves a salesman who couldn't remember our names (he kept calling us Dan and Bonny) and talked almost exclusively to (or at) my husband. The only thing he showed me was how big the trunk of the car was so I could "fit a lot of groceries back there". To this day we always check out cars for grocery room for me.
I guess... how ridiculous! Anyone that understands you at all would know to address you as Bonny and Dan! Why is it that no one can recognize leadership anymore? I blame Meg!
Don't stand under that Saturn Rocket, I'm sure it's going to fall at anytime.:arghh:

@unkadug Have you seen The Lego Movie?
You would think so wouldn't you? The Lego people hold NO special place in my heart. The bricks, on the other hand, can be anything that you could possibly want them to be.
You can be banned for being mysterious, puzzling, or difficult to understand? o_O
Oh my.
In his case, yes and he came back again and again...and was banned again and again.

We could start a spice cartel?
well played, well played!!!

" hey kid, want to buy some spices" XD

Yeah, that's why I didn't post it in the Frozen thraed.

And I really don't mind the song. It's catchy, has a good beat, has a good piano part ( :inlove:good marks from me as I play piano as a hobby). It's just... I don't understand the hype. "I See the Light" from Tangled was much better. Heck, even "Do You Want to Build a Snowman" is better. Maybe some of my opinion has to do with the fact that I listened to the song before watching the movie.
I suppose because the song let it go works as a standalone song, while "do you want to build a snowman" is not.

Well, I guess none of us on here really are sane, so I shouldn't have said that.

There are sane people in the board?

We all know that you are not sane.

You still rock though!

Sanity is overrated!

Sanity is no fun whatsoever.

Rhubarb.

indeed.. SQUIRREL!!

And Grumpy Cat hates you!
Poor Grumpy, despite having only her face like that..

Wow, I can empathize with your situation. It's kinda like (many?) car salesmen are trained to not listen to the customer, display selective vision, and are also stuck in some sort of sexist, or age-related, time-warp.

Sixteen years ago, hubby and I went shopping for a new car. At that time, I had the money to pay for it in full. So, I wrote a check for over $14,000 and handed it to the car salesman. When all the paperwork was finished, we headed for the door to leave, and the salesman runs over to hubby, shakes his hand, and said thank you. Really??!! We had made it clear that it was my purchase, my name (only) was on the check I had just written out and given to him—and he completely ignored me?! :banghead:

Years later, we still laugh about this.
For some men, specially uneducated and sexist.. the woman cannot get a job to maintain themselves.. didn't you know? very lamme imho.

We're off to the Space Center again today with Group2, then dinner at Squid Lips! Have a good day everyone!
there is a restaurant named Squid Lips???

You should have told him "I'm just looking for a trunk that can't be opened from inside."

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.

Whenever I buy a new car (every 3-4 years), I always check out the trunk and say, "Yeah, I can get a body in here easily".
Unfortunately, I have bought my last three cars from the same dealership, so it's not as funny as it used to be.

In NYC around Times Square they have these unlicensed characters of different kids cartoon properties hanging out for photo ops. They sometimes get into arguments and fights with each other. It is ridiculous how cheap and trashy they look. Even before I became really cynical toward all those Times Square attractions, it just seemed too cheap for the area. People traveled across the globe to see this fork in a road with a lot of ads on it, and standing in the middle of it all is something that looks like it belongs on To Catch a Predator.

ONe thing I really envy of you americans.. is how many spices you have at hand.
I have to seriously move mountains to get some spices in my own.
D:

Really! Good spices don't come cheap but you are right, they are not that difficult. I have a harder time finding Asian spices more than anything. Specific Greek ones are also a pain. Can you order spices over the internet?

Did you know that there are some 285 species of squirrel? Yup. That one is called the Red squirrel. The ones that I would call squirrel (I looked at that and said, "What the heck is that?) are the Eastern Grey Squirrel (Sciurus carolinensis).

And the fox squirrel (Sciurus niger) is the most common squirrel in North America

I believe the picture of the squirrel you have is a Red squirrel (Sciurus vulgaris). They are common in Europe, though in some parts, their numbers are decreasing thanks to habitat loss and the introduction of the Eastern Grey squirrel.

When my DH bought his towncar his comment was similar to yours, plenty of space, easily 4 bodies per load.

sadly, most importers tell you "no" to spices or food, due of the gob putting restrictions due of "sanitary rules". :/

We have had an abundance of squirrels the last few springs along with bunnies, skunks, raccoon and possum. They say with the extreme sub zero temps we have had there will be less of them all this spring. What will we discover when the 5 foot snow mounds melt?
