Oooo...! May have to try that next trip! :) The last 2 trips I just couldn't resist their Triassic Trio...steak, shrimp, and scallops...YUM-O-RAMA!!! :joyfull:
I've gone there three times, the first time I decided on a burger and I've never looked back. Last time the burger was just okay because they put the wrong cheese on it (Cheddar, when I asked for American, but no big deal), and they forgot to put the onion ring on. But I wasn't going to complain, it was busy and our waitress was super nice, and she looked swamped already.

Ivory Tower Squabble EST 2011. WINDMILL SURVIVOR
Took my DD to the Chicago Auto Show yesterday. She is saving for her first new car and has a good chunk set aside, wants a mid sized SUV with 4x4 (thanks to snow storms of 2013-14 winter.) We walked the floors for a good six hours as she explored and I trailed beside her, showing her here and there what to look for...bumpers, blind spots, columns hitting knee caps etc. More it was a consumer day, add on costs, trade offs between models...

I had fun redirecting (kindly) the Auto Reps to speak to my DD. While she is 22, she is tiny, under 100# and looks to be about 15-16 not a young women that has graduated college. Funny the learning curve of some of the Auto Reps to grasp she was the one looking for info and pricing not me.

One Little Spark...
Will you marry me?
I'll take that as...yes...please share the recipe. Ok...

Cheddar Bay Biscuits

A Red Lobster favorite, these are actually very easy to make. I took the recipe from a recipe book a few years ago, and modified it slightly. I think it tastes pretty darned close to the real deal!

Ingredients

2 1/2 cups Bisquick baking mix
3/4 cup cold whole milk
4 tbles cold butter (1/2 stick)
1/4 tap garlic powder
1/4 tsp old bay seasoning
1 cup grated cheddar cheese
2 tbls butter, melted
1/4 tsp parsley (dried is ok, but I prefer fresh)
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp kosher salt

Step 1 - Heat oven to 400 degrees.

Step 2 - Mix the Bisquick with the cold butter in a medium bowl using a fork. At first, you can use the tines on the fork to smush the butter into smaller pieces.

Eventually, you'll be able to stir and break up clumps. Don't mix it too thoroughly. You want the butter broken up into sizes about the size of a pea, and evenly distributed. It will be chunky, and it should be.

Step 3 - Add chedder cheese, milk, bay seasoning, and 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder. Mix by hand until combined, but remember, don't over mix.

Step 4 - Drop 1/4 cup sized portions an ungreased cookie sheet using an ice cream scoop or a measuring cup...or you can eyeball it.

Step 5 - Bake 15 to 17 minutes or until the tops of the biscuits begin to turn light brown.

Step 6 - Melt 2 tablespoons butter in a pan over medium heat (or microwave for 10 - 20 seconds) and stir in 1/4 tsp garlic powder and chopped parsley.

Stir with a spoon to combine it well, then use a brush to spread this garlic butter over the tops of all the biscuits. Use all of the butter.

Step 7 - Go ahead and start making exercise plans for the next day to make up for your inevitable binge, because they won't last the night!

(note to self, I need a new cookie sheet... :p)

Went to Cooper Hawk restaurant today. Yay! for me. So freak'n good. I had the pistachio crusted Grouper. Dang was it good. The sauce that was a plated design accented both the fish and asparagus so well. Mary's mashed potato's, well they could take lessons from me. Thou shalt not over mash the mash potatoes or they become a starchy nightmare. The food, atmosphere and service was over the top. Fast becoming my newest favorite.

My go to favorite for the last few years has been Season's 52. The Chef left the Contemporary Cali Grill to open this restaurant a few years back. Yummy stuff too.

The Ebony Nettles-Bey story never ceases to amaze me, no matter how many times I hear about it.

And with that thought, I'm off to bed. Good night everyone! :)

Like every other sane person, I have grown indescribably tired of Frozen's "Let it Go". Hopefully in 3 years when the hype settles down I will be able to enjoy that movie's music again.

That said, this was the best cover I have yet seen. It had me cracking up at Julie Andrews, I think, and the laughter didn't stop.
