Our squirrels love to bury nuts, not fans of eating roots, nuts tasty.

Just from simple observation though, they are not all that smart. I have watched them working away burying nuts in random locations, but, I have also never seen them find one that they buried. They have a major flaw in their storage plans. In many ways they are a lot like older people. We put things away so we can find them later, then we can't remember where we put them. That's why we stopped burying our food.

Squirrels have a plan...seniors just can't remember what the plan is.

Got snow again, but not a lot. Monday they say we are going to get a lot of something. Rain, Ice or Snow.
Oddly snow would be the best choice. Ice, no brainer, who has time for that? Rain, we'd flood cause our mounds are now five to six feet.

Yet they say we could get rain, then ice, then snow. Oy Oy Oy

We have had an abundance of squirrels the last few springs along with bunnies, skunks, raccoon and possum. They say with the extreme sub zero temps we have had there will be less of them all this spring. What will we discover when the 5 foot snow mounds melt?

Oh god I LOVE that commercial! I laughed really loud at it!

You know that squirrels are nothing more than rats with bushy tails....
And? everything is related to everything.
Shrimp are like sea cockroaches, yet everyone loves them.

I've always liked squirrels. They are fun to watch and have never caused any damage to our property. Chipmunks on the other hand...
I suppose I like them because they are indeed rare in Mexico..
to use the space at 100%, most houses do not even have a backyard or any space around the house.. they build the entire area.. thus no wildlife.. :/

Sure, if you like yard rats!
as long they dont carry disease... who cares if they're "rats".
They're all part of the circle of life and all have a defined trait in nature

Please tell that to the squirrels around here. They seem to love to dig up most plants and crops for the roots.

I tried explaining to them that squirrels shouldn't do that...they do not listen me.

They do not take you seriously ;)

I ate buffalo last week and it was freaking amazing.

If someone offered me sea cow, I'd probs eat it.
Wow, how good tastes the Buffalo?

The slow roasted Buffalo Steak at Artist Point is over the top amazing. Slurp.

I spent this morning trying to set up a pump under my mom's house because her sump pump burned out. 3 feet of water because of the rain and the melted snow on Wednesday. I really don't want to deal with it anymore so I would take the snow too if means the water flowing in there more slowly than another deluge.

About 3 and a half years ago, we had a big rainstorm. Our sump pump (that was only around 5 years old because we built this house new) decided to not work. Our basement flooded, and we had to rip out all of the carpet and baseboards around the bottoms of the walls. We were able to save some, and the vinyl flooring we had in the bathroom didn't need to be torn out. A bunch of boxes in our back storage room were soaked, and we had to clear out everything down there to clean out. When the plumber came in, he saw that the sump pump wasn't working, then shook it really hard and it was back to normal. In the end, the sump pump looked VERY cheap (which it seems like the builder did for most of the house), and we ended up getting a new one (or at least part of it, I can't remember). Not a fun experience!
