Oh sure, now I feel like a terrible parent.

My boys genuinely hate each other, fight non-stop, and I count the minutes until one or the other of them leaves the house, even if only for a few hours.

The oldest one technically doesn't live here right now (living with four or five other guys until college starts in September) but he comes home at least one or two nights a week.

If I ever suddenly disappear from these boards, you'll know I had a stroke during one of these visits. One at a time - no problem. Both at home at the same time - shoot me.

I'm starting to get worried. My brother (the one closest in age to me) and I were done hating each other by this age.
I have relatives who are 25 and 30 and still are at each others throat every time they get together. The older one seemed mature when he introduced his fiancee to us at WDW this summer. The younger one is a control freak who just leaves a path of crazy when she shows up in my neighborhood in the summer.

We need some wampa repellent, ice scrabbler traps and different tauntaun lichen. Whatever you are feeding yours is making it's insides smell. :D (And only a Star Wars fan would get what the heck I just said.)
I understood parts of it, so you earned a like!

Robert Munsch is an American-born Canadian children's book author.

Some of his books are classics. The Paper Bag Princess. Stephanie's Ponytail. I Have to Go.

There is likely not a single kindergarten class in this country that doesn't contain every single one of his books.

Certainly his writing was edgier (for a children's author) before he got his bipolar disorder under control.
Stephanie's ponytail was the best. When I was in elementary school the school nurse had it and I would borrow it. She should have been happy though. She was a role model! Actually, I first got the idea of the side ponytail from that book.

It was the first book read to my son in JK.
He came home and recited the book to me almost verbatim.

My favourite is The Paper Bag Princess. The last page is the best.
“Your clothes are really pretty, and your hair is very neat. You look like a real prince, but you are a bum.” They didn't get married after all.

Sometimes I feel resentful that my brother has autism, I feel like "Why him? Why us?" but when I hear stories like this, it reminds me thaf I'm fortunate he generally leaves me alone. And it's stories like this that remind me of that!

I keep telling myself that this too shall pass.

A big part of the problem (now) is that Son #1's best friend is now Son #2's girlfriend. And even though he was never interested in her that way, the fact that his younger brother is now dating her is the greatest cause of friction between them.

It's hard when you have two same-gendered kids really close in age.

So weird - went to sleep with 6 inches of snow on the ground and when I woke up it's gone. We have a one day warm up and then tomorrow is supposed to be the coldest we have EVER been in this region (summer weather to some of you ;) ) @acishere and @Nemo14 did your snow melt too?

51 here and raining = our back yard looks like a pond. Tomorrow's high is supposed to be 18, so we'll have a lovely icy mess to look forward to.

I hate winter.

Here it rained for hours then at sometime last night it snowed hard. The wind chill is -7. All schools and most businesses are closed and will be tomorrow. I guess we haven't had temps like this since 1942. Wind chills will be at -30 by tomorrow.

My backyard IS a pond. The briefly frozen rink was too bumpy to skate on (and the home-zamboni didn't work because hubby left the hoses outside from when he was filling the stupid thing and they were frozen) and now it's completely water again. At least it's not bumpy anymore.
