No plans to go out today. Just me, my chair, and a nice warm blanket.

Here's a new Snuggie for the cold:

When you're the leader, you don't have to follow.
I am taking down the tree early. (Tomorrow is Orthodox Christmas.)
Normally, I would leave it up until at least the 8th, but I have to take advantage of hubby's day off. Plus, the cleaning lady returns on Wednesday (after a 2 1/2 week hiatus) and I don't want to make a mess the day she cleans.

So, it's down. And I am sad.

But not nearly as sad as the cats.

We'll have to get another artificial tree next year for the cats to play in. We had a real one this year and the cats showed no interest in it.

My dog was scared of our live tree. He just kept barking at it and backing away. He's a bit of a strange mutt.
My mother had to put a fence around her tree to keep her Bijon from tearing it up. Our dog (mid-sized mixed breed) never cared about our tree, although she ripped open a box of chocolate underneath it one year.

Our cats loved climbing and chasing each other in our artificial tree and playing with the ornaments.

We put temporary fencing across the room to keep the dog out of the village and away from the tree. It was more for the village though - so he wouldn't trample through like Dogzilla.

We have this snowman that's about 3 feet tall, and we put it in our living room. My dog used to bark at that when she first saw it. Although she isn't one who likes strangers. She'll bark at them, and then eventually she'll walk up to them, but as soon as the person makes a move, she'll start barking again.

My tree is has the ornaments off. I'll take the lights off when I get home from work. I need to get a help for taking it out of the stand so I can't take it out tonight.
