For years my family has always chosen Chef Mickey's for our first night's dinner. This year however, we have decided to change our tradition and eat at 1900 Park Fare. We've never dined here so I hope we have just as good a time.
Where do you all eat night one? Any traditions?

Our first night is always dinner at the California Grill. We never go to a park on the first day - we usually relax by the pool at our resort then head to a late dinner to watch the fireworks.

We've done LTT in the past, then we broke with tradition and did Restaurant Marrakesh. This year we're doing Chef Mickey's.

We generally do the next morning as our first full day in the parks at Cinderella's Royal Table bright and early.

We've only stayed onsite four times, always at the Polynesian Resort, and our first meal is always at Captain Cooks. It is our tradition.

A quick service meal. We always arrive around 11 am, then check in, our room is NEVER ready, but thats ok. We plan for that. Pack our bathing suites and hit typhoon lagoon. Then spend the night at MK and eat whatever our hearts desire.

We ALWAYS do Chef Mickey's on our arrival night. It's just a nice way to meet the main characters right off, and then we don't have to stand in lines to meet them in the parks.

This year we're doing the Spirit of Aloha dinner show on our first night. We've never seen it before and I thought it'd be a good way to start out our vacation with a bang.

We always hit the MK first and end up getting a hot dog & fries at Casey's! When we're sitting on Main Street with a hot dog, we know we're on vacation! :ROFLOL:

We normally don't arrive in Orlando until later in the day, so we never do a park that day. We have always eaten at Planet Hollywood on our first night. When we go next week, we wanted to change it up and go to T-Rex...but it's booked solid!

Instead we are considering eating at one of the resort restaurants. Any suggestions? We are thinking about Boatwright's since it has boat transportation to DTD...we thought this may be fun for something different. We are also thinking about maybe just having Pizza at the Boardwalk.

Have you tried calling the restaurant directly? (407) 828-TREX (8739) I've heard on some other boards that people have had great luck getting T-Rex reservations by calling the restaurant directly.
