It is a great place to see the Princesses so that is a plus. Never been for bfast but I would go for that, rather then for dinner. The dinner menu was not my fave. A lot of unusual items.

We have been there twice for dinner with our two girls and enjoyed the experience tremendously both times. We did the princess lunch at Cinderella castle and it didn't compare to Akershus. The princess experience at Akershus was much better. Plus as part of the dining plan it was only 1 table service.

Been there for breakfast and loved it. If you want to see princesses and do not want to go through the hassle and expense of CRT it is the way to go.

We ate lunch at Akershus last May. It was wonderful. The food was great, each princess came directly to your individual table. Plenty of time to take pictures. At the end of lunch my daughter was able to get her picture taken with Belle, and we received an 8 x 10 picture. I would definitely recommend. Even our son enjoyed himself.

I ate dinner there 2 x's before it became a princess meal and enjoyed it both times. And I am not an adventurous eater.
Since then, I have eaten the princess breakfast there once and thought it was great too.

My daughter & I ate there for dinner in Sept. 2008 & we really enjoyed it.
The food & the service were very good.
Our waitress was actually from Norway.
We also received a photo package w/ the featured princess of the day.
I would love to eat there again.

It used to be better, now the menu is missing some items, but it is stll a thumbs up in my book

Take a look at the menus on line before you go. It does serve some foods that are "different". If you have any scandinavian background though, you might have had them allready. There are a few things they have that my grandmother (who was from Norway) used to serve when she was alive. Akershus is about the only place I can find them aside from making or buying them myself.

I used to be able to find nokkelost cheese http://www.nordicdeli.com/cheese/cheese.htm around here. Now its a trip, mail order. Akershus used to have it on the buffet, now I think it's gone from there too. (It was missing last time I was there)

So-so...nothing special

Not a huge fan of Akershus. Ate there when I was 6 and all I remember was that I thought it was neat then and the waiter taught me how to say all the names of the utensils in Norweigin or whatever. But that was 17 years ago before the characters. Ate there again last year for the princess meal (my son is in LOOOOOVE with Disney princesses and my sister although she is 15 wanted to go). The princesses were great. The food not so much. Had a cold appetizer bar which was decent b/c I like the smoked salmon and shrimp. The main course was decent but not spectacular, I remember the tea was TERRIBLE, and I don't even remember the dessert. It wasn't horrible, but I would much rather go to Ohana or Le Cellier or somewhere with a better atmosphere and memorable food. I'll just say that I did not make a reservation here for my upcoming 7 night trip.

We usually go for breakfast. I'm not sure if we would be up for the dinner. But the character experience there is superb. We really enjoy it.

Loved the princesses, hated the food.

Our family made its first trip to DW in 2/07. We loved EVERYTHING about it except for the food at this restaurant. Granted, I am a picky eater, but my DH will eat almost anything, and neither one of us could eat more than two bites of our entrees. The kids both hated their kids' meals as well. If it weren't for the cheese and meats at the buffet, we would have starved.

That said, I am still glad we ate dinner there for the sake of the character experience for our 5 year old DD. There were so many princesses and plenty of time to talk and take photos with each one. 7 year old DS did not want to eat at Cinderella's Table, but he enjoyed this multi-princess experience as well. We will not eat there again though when we return this October.

If you didn't like the food at dinner, you could always try the breakfast. It is traditional character breakfast fare and is served to your table family style. That way you can get the benefits of the character interaction along with more traditional food you are probably used to.
