It's crowded in the Main Street Mobile Device Charging Air Conditioned Rest Area AKA Cinema today. No smoking!

All big attractions? All 5 of them? It needs more headliners. Specifically more the family can do together. A couple more C/D ticket dark rides too.

The other factor, which is quickly affecting WDW parks as well, is that most of the newer attractions (which, compared to DL, are most of DCA) are all short experiences. Few long experiences that are crowd-eaters (like Jungle Cruise and Pirates and shows).

The more that Disney invests in roller coasters and other 5-minute experiences at the expense of longer attractions that take in large groups over time, the more crowded the streets will be and the more quickly people will "finish everything" in a park.

Summary from the conference call: They raised prices, hotels raised prices, the market was of the belief it would be incredibly busy and to stay away, they did not open the full land.

Overall "paid" attendance was actually up (partially offset by the increase in ticket prices), it was the Annual Pass-holders that were quite down.

Yup DCA could really use a nice long boat ride.

Pretty much confirms what many have suspected. The park has become so overly dominated by APs that the "paid" guests are just a blip on the radar now. Their numbers were technically up and the place was still a ghost town - in the summer, no less.

lol, you mean when APs are blocked out, they don't show up and pay the regular ticket price??? Imagine that ; )

But who do you think showed up to pay for those tickets? Obviously not the public, they hate Disneyland now.
Wouldn't it be nice if that were true.

What if everyone decided that Disneyland were for Peter Pan syndrome fat vloggers and children only? That any adult without kids that would venture into Disneyland was considered mentally unstable. What if you mentioned you have annual passes to Disneyland to a co-worker and they gave you a strange look and backed away? What if Disneyland had normal crowd levels all year and people just bought temporary park hoppers or regular tickets and didn't show up every night treating it like a mall?

My dog, it would be wonderful!

The end-of-summer slump took about half a week longer to kick in than the last couple of years. But it's in full swing now. Low crowds across the board for most of the last fortnight.

Monday is a big day. All DCA blockouts are lifted, and Deluxe comes unblocked at Disneyland. Will we finally see the big SW:GE rush that we expected back in May?
