What's Still On and What's Now Off

My understanding is DVC is one of the biggest headaches Disney currently has because of the way the contracts are written. The other is the number of disrupted supply chains that affect daily operations and sales.

They better be stocking up on Ibuprofin then!

They can’t open some DVC resorts and not others for more than few days without creating major problems for themselves. I can see a scenario where the DVCs are open but there is no transportation. People have to use their own car.

Anyway, If “why is my resort not open like theirs!” were the complaint du jour, that would mean we’re a lot closer to normal than we are now.

Back to the OP, I’d say there’s more off than on as of now. It is undecided if or when what is off comes back on.

I can’t say more so there’s no list.

Not that there is ever a good time, but this is really bad timing for several projects.... mostly Epcot and Magic Kingdom. At least not too much is torn up at MK.

I’m just gonna take a wild guess that even Tron is iffy right now....

I could see this, though I'm not sure people will want to pay full price with such limitations.

I don't know if limitations are being applied. If you can only do one park a day, then that doesn't apply. Even a park hopper, you can go to the other two parks that are open that day. I don't see that being a big hurdle personally.

If you mean full price with limited experiences in the parks, then yeah, I could see them scaling back the prices with discounts.

So you mean open with no social distancing rules, but still only certain parks on certain days?

I don't know how the parks open with social distancing in place. Eventually, we have to get to a point where people have to act with their own brains instead of being told exactly what to do. My idea would be certain parks on certain days only.

I agree, and that's where the problem lies.
There's an interesting discussion about this subject going on here:

I don’t think it would stay that way for long. More just a starting place to resume operations and get the kinks out while slowly bringing more areas on line. Sure they would lose money at first but not as much as they have been losing the last 4 weeks.

that’s my guess as well. Assuming this really is the plan, I expect a quick ramp-up of other resort areas.
something like:

Day 1: MK resorts and MK only.
Day 7: additional resorts and DHS and AK
Day 14: all resorts open
Day 28: Epcot open.

point being you can’t get every resort and restaurant fully staffed, supplied and ready to go, on day 1.
