Trip Report What's going on with my clothes??

The title.

It's what I've been having the hardest time with for the last week or so. I'm not totally sold on it but I must say that it did make for a lot of laughs(at my expense of course). When I think about how much energy I've channeled to coming up with something, especially when that energy could have been put to better use( like at work or something), I decided to stick with this & move forward. Otherwise, this TR would never get started. Anyways, welcome to my very first trip report!! I'm happy with myself for finally doing one & I'm more than excited to relive our adventures & share them with you fine people!!
So, let me start by getting the introductions out of the way......

WHO: R & myself, my sister E & her son J, my sister C & her husband D & their daughters E & A

WHEN: June 18th-25th *C,D,E & A's plans were a little different than ours. They were there 6/21-7/7*

WHERE: my home away from home, POR

Heading back to Riverside.
IMG_3305.jpeg

Bye FQ!!
IMG_3306.jpeg

What a pretty horse!!
IMG_3307.jpeg

IMG_3308.jpeg

IMG_3311.jpeg

This was my second time going on the carriage ride. It's a lot of fun!!

We got to Boatwright's at 7:30 & were seated right away even though our reservation wasn't until 7:45.
IMG_3313.jpeg

IMG_3315.jpeg

It wasn't very crowded in there but we had some of the slowest service I have ever seen. Our waiter seemed like he was never doing anything. He was always at the computer doing who knows what.

SATURDAY, JUNE 23RD(CONT.)

The cornbread was good.
IMG_3317.jpeg

R got the Nashville Hot Chicken. He said it was really good.
IMG_3318.jpeg

I had the jambalaya. It was really good but pretty spicy.
IMG_3319.jpeg

You can add crab cakes to any meal for an upcharge. E asked if she could have crab cakes as her meal & our server said yes so that's what she went with.
IMG_3320.jpeg

J got the kid's pizza with broccoli.
IMG_3321.jpeg

IMG_3322.jpeg

I went with the St. Louis Gooey Butter Cake for dessert. I felt like the cake had pretty much no taste. A few bites was more than enough for me!
IMG_3323.jpeg

I wish I had J's dessert. He had bananas covered in dark chocolate.
IMG_3324.jpeg

Our meals were very good & we all enjoyed them. But the service was nothing short of awful. Our waiter was very nice but he was never around. We were there for almost a full two hours!!

SUNDAY, JUNE 24TH

I was up really early for my walk/jog.
IMG_3325.jpeg

I think this would be something fun to do with the kids.
IMG_3326.jpeg

I didn't see anyone there but they weren't open yet so I guess that explains it!
IMG_3327.jpeg

IMG_3328.jpeg

IMG_3329.jpeg

IMG_3330.jpeg

When I got back to the room I saw that our eviction notice had been delivered. I get the most sickening feeling in my stomach every time I see that.
IMG_3332.jpeg

So, I forgot to mention that every morning I would make a cup of coffee in the room. I actually bring back the liquid creamers from the food court b/c I don't care for that powder in the least. Today I go to open up the package & I can't find a stirrer. I figured it was a fluke thing & opened another one. No stirrer in there either. So all of a sudden there are no stirrers in the package. And you're expected to stir your coffee how??
IMG_3334.jpeg

E texted us & said for us to go without them. J was still sleeping & she didn't want to wake him.
I had forgot that they had this. I was already back by the time they started but I will have to remember for next time!
IMG_3336.jpeg

The Riverside Mill was a complete madhouse!! For breakfast & lunch they allow you to sit in Boatwright's also. I told R I would meet him there b/c I couldn't see any available seats in the food court. I got in line to get an iced coffee. I walked into Boatwright's & it was empty. I found him sitting in The River Roost. Close enough...

Yay--we're back at Epcot!!
IMG_3338.jpeg

We had a FP for SSE so we headed there first.
The pictures actually turn out when you don't have a three year old attacking your hands!!

IMG_3343.jpeg

IMG_3344.jpeg

IMG_3345.jpeg

I love these guys!!
IMG_3346.jpeg

We watched them for a bit then headed into Mouse Gear. I bought myself a hat & looked around for a birthday gift for my niece who's birthday was that day. I almost bought her a Belle(she's her favorite) dress but felt like she had one so I texted my sister & sure enough she did.

If I had to wager, I'd bet this helps other people see the service dog better. I know with strollers and rolling luggage, nobody seems to look down when they walk and they'll run right into them. I'd bet this gives the dog much higher visibility.

At this age they all seem to go through fear of weather. My daughter was like this about rain and I had to take her on a few "rain walks" to help her get over it. We jumped in puddles and played with umbrellas and it was so distracting that she forgot she was afraid of the rain. Maybe something to suggest to E :)

Oops!! That was an expensive mistake! But those shoes do look really cool!

That’s a good thought about the dog. I’m sure there was a good reason behind it but I couldn’t figure it out.

I like the plan on dealing with the rain. I will definitely let E know! I did think it was cute that he was scared for his mom & wanted to go with her!

Between the shoes & shirt it was expensive but the AP discount helped to ease the blow a little. Those shoes are now J’s favorite. He loves the fact that they light up. The only bad thing about them was that he had never worn crocs before so he had some issues in adjusting to them. You’ll see shortly!!

Reading along and enjoying it! What a rainstorm in HS!!! A couple times I've been to the World and forgotten something in the room and had to make an expensive purchase :banghead:. I'm glad J loved the Sci-Fi, it's really a great-themed place! I do love their lunch menu! YAY!! You got your carriage ride in! Lovely! Sorry about how sllllllllooooooooooowwwwwww Boatwright's was. I noticed that when we were there in 2014, too. The eviction notice always stinks but then I realize I've been there for as long as I have and it was magical!! :geek::geek: I promise myself to LIVE IT UP on the last day!!

Thank you very much!!

Not that they are super expensive but do you know how many times I have had to buy ponchos b/c I left them in the room?

I ate at Boatwright's last year & the service was fine. I was surprised at just how bad it was this time.

That's a good approach to take regarding the eviction notice!!

Look who was finally tall enough for Soarin'!!
IMG_3358.jpeg

IMG_3359.jpeg

He had to take his crocs off or he would have lost them for sure!!
IMG_3360.jpeg

IMG_3362.jpeg

J loved it!!

C, D, E & A had arrived also. They were in line for Living with the Land when we got off of Soarin'. We would be meeting them in the World Showcase shortly.

All I have are my lousy photos that I took. When I was organizing my photos for this TR I discovered an issue. I knew I had more PP photos than what I was seeing & I knew they were there originally(the ride photo for FEA was definitely there). A few weeks after I got home photos from my trip in June of last year came off of my account. It seems like when those photos came off quite a few from this trip did also.:(

World Showcase is so pretty!!
IMG_3376.jpeg

It wasn't too crowded yet which was nice!!

I could watch this forever!!

I have had pictures not show up in my Photo pass account before. I emailed them about it and they found them for me. In my email I included the places, dates, and approximate times. I might have had to include my AP number or something (I can't remember) but they were very responsive to my email.

It was time for lunch. E wanted to eat at Lotus Blossom so she & J went there. I was excited to try Tangierine Cafe for the first time!!
But first R stopped for some Gelato.
IMG_3379.jpeg

IMG_3380.jpeg

IMG_3381.jpeg

I stopped for a Kirin Light in Japan. I really like this beer-I make sure to have one every time I'm at Epcot.
IMG_3382.jpeg

We finally arrived
IMG_3383.jpeg

I went with the vegetable platter. I was so excited to eat here & it did not disappoint!! It was excellent!!
IMG_3384.jpeg

R went with the chicken wrap. He said it was good also.
IMG_3385.jpeg

We wandered through the shops in Morocco. I really like the shops there but have never bought a thing. I just love the smell of the incense also!!

Loving the report and enjoying the photos. Carriage ride looks like fun! It made me smile that J liked his maiden voyage on Soarin'!

It's a shame about the lost photos - I wonder if you can call someone about that.

Looking forward to the rest!
The carriage ride is fun. It's very relaxing. He really enjoyed Soarin' & what E liked was that he had no clue what the ride was about so we didn't have to worry about him being afraid. I think she may have told him it's like watching a movie. I'm glad he enjoyed his maiden voyage on this. Wait until you see him on his maiden voyage on SDMT--that did not go so well!!

I called one time before about lost photos & it took about a week but they located them. I would think these should be easy to find considering they were in my account to begin with!

Thanks so much for reading!! I'm really enjoying this. I should have been doing these 10 trips ago!!

The problem is at this point I"m having a hard time remembering what they all were & when they were taken. FEA's would be easy b/c I can look at my phone & see what time I took those pictures.

I should contact them though b/c since they were there to begin with maybe this will be an easy fix!!

I don't know if it was the incense in Morocco or the Florida heat & humidity that got to R but he decided he needed to go somewhere cool. The American Adventure was starting soon so I suggested he go there. When I asked him later how he liked the show he said that he didn't see one bit of it. He took a nap instead!!

E called me & said she was in Italy getting a sangria & asked me if I wanted one.
IMG_3387.jpeg

We found a bench & just sat there enjoying our drinks.
IMG_3389.JPG

J kept himself amused by climbing up & down these steps a million times.
IMG_3390.jpeg

He was pretty impressed with himself. We warned him to be careful on the steps with the crocs on. They are bigger than a tennis shoe so I'm sure they take some getting used to--especially for a three year old.
IMG_3391.jpeg

So when he somehow lost his shoe I had to bust out laughing at him. The scowl on his face was directed towards me. And I know you're probably thinking that I'm mean for laughing at him but he kept acting like he was big stuff doing what he was & we had repeatedly told him to be careful so when he did lose his shoe it seemed funny. As I type this I realize it really wasn't that funny so either it's one of those things that you "had to be there for" or maybe it was the sangria talking!!
IMG_3392.jpeg

He says this one thing that totally cracks me up. You repeatedly tell him something(as in this case) then something happens & of course, as an adult, what do you say? "See, I told you so." He gets mad when you say that to him so his response always is, "No, I told you." It doesn't make much sense but to hear him say it is so funny.

E decided she was going to walk through some stores to see if she could get J to take a nap. I was on a mission that was taking me to France. It was my niece, M's birthday that day. I felt bad that I was missing her party. Her favorite is Belle so I wanted to meet her & ask her if I could record a video of her wishing M happy birthday then I could send it to my sister. I actually did the same thing last year(she turned 4 then). She was so excited & kept asking her mom how Belle knew it was her birthday. I was excited b/c last year she was wearing her blue dress & this year she was in her yellow dress. Belle was more than happy to do the video for me. She told her how they celebrate birthdays at the castle & she hoped she could celebrate hers the same way. I'm amazed how she just(this year & last) came up with something to say so quick. I'd still be thinking of something to say!! I sent the video to my sister & M was thrilled!! It looks like I'm going to have to make this a yearly thing!!

When I got in line I texted C. Her & the girls were finishing up meeting Jasmine so I told her to meet me if the girls wanted to see Belle.

C was taking A somewhere(for the life of me I can't remember where). I wanted to go to Japan. A few months ago my cousins car was broken into & one of the things that was stolen was a pair of chopsticks that she had bought here so I wanted to get her another set.
E(niece) wanted to go with me.

Those drums are really loud!!
IMG_3401.jpeg

I don't know what it is but those steps always feel like such a tough climb!! It was so hot I was glad I wasn't climbing them that day!!
IMG_3402.jpeg

IMG_3403.jpeg

We stopped at the kidcot stop in Japan so E could get her stamp. I love the kidcot stops. They are so fun!!
IMG_3404.jpeg

Who knew picking out chopsticks could be so difficult? Different lengths, some are wood, some are plastic.....I could go on & on. Since I didn't know what I was doing my cousin ended up with 2 pairs!!
IMG_3405.jpeg

I wonder what it says on the package?
IMG_3406.jpeg

Purchase complete we made our way out of the store. E commented on how dark it was getting & it looked like it was going to storm. C texted me and told me they were at Rose & Crown so we made our way there. The wind started picking up. E & I decided we should pick up our pace & jog a bit so we didn't end up getting caught in the rain that was on its way.
We took a selfie while jogging.
IMG_3407.jpeg

The smile on my face was short lived. All of a sudden it got extremely windy & leaves etc. started blowing around. Out of nowhere I started to choke a little. Something flew into my mouth!! I was able to cough it out. E & I looked at it and it seemed to be a piece of a branch from a tree. Sorry--I forgot to grab a photo of it:joyfull: Once it was out & we saw what it was we had a good laugh about it.

Still dry....

Not now...we made it just in time!!

What to do while in Rose & Crown with about 500 other people seeking shelter from the storm(besides drink beer)? Our family decides to recreate a picture that the four of us took in this same spot back in 2012. You should have seen how hard it was for us all to remember who was standing where for it.

Family selfie!!
IMG_3462.JPG

We hung out in Rose & Crown for about an hour until it was time for our dinner reservation. It was still raining but fortunately we didn't have far to go. At least C was prepared with her raincoat.
