Trip Report What's going on with my clothes??

The title.

It's what I've been having the hardest time with for the last week or so. I'm not totally sold on it but I must say that it did make for a lot of laughs(at my expense of course). When I think about how much energy I've channeled to coming up with something, especially when that energy could have been put to better use( like at work or something), I decided to stick with this & move forward. Otherwise, this TR would never get started. Anyways, welcome to my very first trip report!! I'm happy with myself for finally doing one & I'm more than excited to relive our adventures & share them with you fine people!!
So, let me start by getting the introductions out of the way......

WHO: R & myself, my sister E & her son J, my sister C & her husband D & their daughters E & A

WHEN: June 18th-25th *C,D,E & A's plans were a little different than ours. They were there 6/21-7/7*

WHERE: my home away from home, POR

Here's the crew: myself, R, D, C, E(niece), E(sister), J & A

FRIDAY, JUNE 22ND(CONT.)

We went to catch the 12:00 show.

I was so happy all four tumble monkeys were there. Last year R got to see the "abridged" version when there were only 3 of them. I had felt bad b/c that had been his first time seeing FotLK & he wasn't getting the full effect.
IMG_3097.jpg

For once I did not take a ton of pictures. I couldn't--I had to keep trying to get J to focus on the show. There were 2 women & a little girl sitting to our left. The mom told her daughter to sit in the row in front of us so she could see better. She said J could sit there also so he could see better. E said that was fine. What we didn't expect was for J to stay turned around for the whole show while he stared at mom. It was so embarrassing. First @TrolleyFollower91 now this lady. I tried to whisper to him a few times that he needed to turn around & watch the show but that didn't work. This is how that goes(it's actually really funny when he does it but it wasn't at the time): You try to whisper something to him that you obviously don't want others to hear. If he can't hear you(b/c you're trying to be quiet after all) he'll say to you, at the top of his lungs I might add, "WHAT DID YOU SAY?"
IMG_3100.jpg

We headed back to Pandora.
IMG_3102.jpg

IMG_3104.jpg

While we were in line J started getting scared & wanted held. He didn't like all the noises he was hearing around him.

I think he was happy when we got off the ride--for his sake at least it's short!!

I blew up Divine’s face in the picture with you. Looks a little masculine......

(I don’t eat ketchup either....I knew we were simpatico!)
I just looked myself. I didn't notice that before but I have to agree with you.

No ketchup for you either!! This may sound strange but I'm happy to hear you say that. Most people look at me like I"m nuts b/c I don't eat it. The strange thing is I eat all other tomato products & all the ingredients that are in ketchup are fine with me. But something about ketchup itself I can't handle. The smell of it actually turns my stomach...

Does the Starbucks in Animal Kingdom have paper straws?

I always ask for my tater tots extra-crispy.

J found another girlfriend??? I’m not sure I’m okay with this!
Paper straws would be correct.

Extra-crispy tater tots--perfect!!

He actually found a couple more during the rest of the trip but don't you worry--you're the one he still talks about!!

E & I both got the same dessert. It was some kind of sugar free/gluten free carrot cake. It wasn't bad.
I can't remember what R got:oops:

Dinner was fantastic. The food, service & atmosphere were spectacular. We can't wait to return!!

We wandered around for awhile after dinner.
I hadn't noticed any flowers in any restrooms so when I saw these(even though they are not in a restroom) I thought of you @Tuvalu!!
I thought they were quite pretty!!

That puzzle dessert is the coolest dessert I've ever seen!! I'm going to have to pick up puzzle cookie cutters and replicate this for my preschooler!

Or with sandwiches! Or pancakes! This is neat!!

It was pretty cool & it kept him entertained. I was seriously jealous that I didn't have one!!

It sounds like the possibilities are endless of what you could do!!

I don't really care for this carnival type section of AK. It's always so noisy. I just don't feel like it fits in with the rest of the park but it's probably exciting for the little ones.

I absolutely love this ride!! J was sleeping so R & I went on while she waited.
IMG_3117.jpg

I just have to say this--Why do people feel it is necessary to talk away during the pre-show as if no one cares about it? The pre-show explains what the ride is about & what your "objective" is not to mention the safety instructions. Now this was only R's second time on this ride so he wanted to hear it. I've been on it a ton of times & I still wanted to hear it. And I'm sure there were others(1st timers or not)that wanted to also. I look around & see people straining to be able to hear & I think to myself, "This may be the only time they come here in their whole life. Their experience for this ride is going to be ruined b/c someone can't keep their mouth shut for 3 minutes." I notice this quite a bit on DINOSAUR & The Haunted Mansion. It really bothers me. Sorry for my rant--it's something I was thinking about while we were there & looking at these pictures brought those memories back to me!!

I get flat out PO’d when people do that. It’s rude and disrespectful, and it can ruin the overall experience of an attraction.

I swear I love this ride--for some reason my face isn't portraying that though.
IMG_3592.JPG

After we rode I told R to go back on with E using J's band(he's too little but we just make our FP's for all of us whether he can go on it or not.) Could you imagine J on this dark ride??o_O R asked me to get him a Powerade while they were on the ride. E had been waiting for us in the gift shop as soon as you exit since it was cool in there. I took J & went to the gift shop that is to the right when you exit. No Powerade. I looked around a bit more and finally found a stand at the entrance to DINOSAUR that sold Powerade so I got one there. I went back into the gift shop that I originally started my quest from & guess what they sold in there?:banghead:

I had to snag a picture of "the people that decided to make the gift shop their living room & not clean up their mess when they left" crew.
IMG_3125.jpg

Meanwhile, R & E were having fun.
Doesn't E look like all prim & proper? That's the first thing I thought of when I saw this picture!

R having fun!!

We headed over to Asia & were going to do single rider for EE but the wait was pretty long at that point so we passed.

I am SO glad that you enjoyed your meal at Yachtsman. We really enjoyed it on our last trip (we got the same thing!) and made sure to include it in our upcoming trip as a repeat meal. Mmmmm so good!

This drives me crazy, too! It particularly bothers me on TOT in that first gathering room, when they have the TV on with Rod Serling. Some people are so self-centered and want to talk through it, without even thinking that some new guests to the attraction, have never seen/heard this before. And, it's also rude to others (raises hand . . .) who have been there before, but enjoy the "build up" of the pre-show. The pre-show really does set the mood for the rest of the ride.

I tell ya what, HM CMs are bad about talking/yelling when you’re in the first room where the portrait changes. You can’t hear the Ghost Host at all.

It was probably one of the best steak places I have ate at. I will definitely go there again. Enjoy your repeat meal!!

I don't go on ToT that much so I forgot about that. But you're right & I can recall people doing it there also. The pre-show does set the mood & it's just plain rude for people to talk during it.

I'm going to have to pay attention next time & see if I notice that!

FRIDAY, JUNE 22ND(CONT.)

So, we were walking along to our next FP & I felt something a little off when I touched the side of my shirt. I looked and saw that my shirt looked like the shorts I had been wearing on Monday. Immediately I started to complain to R & E about how this could have happened. Again, little things like that really bother me. It was at this point that R said to me: "I've been meaning to ask you something. Are you wearing the same shorts you were the other day?" I looked at him & said "Absolutely not. You know me better than that." I then looked down to see why he would say such a thing & that's when I discovered yet another wardrobe malfunction.

I took these pictures later at the room but they fit in with this post so here they are.
The shirt

#2 shorts

Trust me, they are two different pairs. I like khaki shorts so I have quite a few pairs of them. What really irritated me was that #2 shorts were brand new. That was the first(and last) time I wore them. I looked back & noticed that the shorts did not look too swift when we took the picture with Pascal on R's head. I would have to believe they were like that when I put them on.
