What Would You Ban?

It is because of everyone's obsession with it like they can't enjoy a meal or have a good time with out it, and alcohol is nothing but a legal drug. Why is it you can only enjoy something if your drunk ? I am not a bad person or stupid or wrong just because I think it belongs in a bar not Disney World. The must disgusting sight is seeing parents push their kids around Epcot with alcohol in their hand.
Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you The Moral Majority

PS - you are aware that Jesus turned water into wine, correct?

Seriously, what is your problem? Mind your own business and stop trying to control everyone.
My problem is that I was merely stating what I would like to see banned and so many people get so upset at the mere mention of no alcohol, I just don't understand that. Many people have said they wish they would ban smoking but not one smoker has gone off having a cow defending smoking. I just find it odd that this is one thing so many people get so upset about.

I wish they would ban line jumpers but we all know that is not going to happen. My daughter and I always joke we are just going to start picking out some random name and yell it out and wave till we scoot pass everyone to the front of the line, I watched someone do it at Test Track Single rider line we were almost at the front, these two guys came up and said they were going to their family and they never did join anyone just got on the ride.

If Disney banned alcohol I'd welcome it warmly, I just hate this lazy, clichéd, generalization that anyone who prefers an alcoholic beverage because of how it pairs to a non alcoholic beverage is automatically ruining the lives of children everywhere and only doing it for the buzz.
I'd like to mention that I agree with you. Some will probably claim I said that you're ruining a child's life, but all I said was that it was a family place and Walt didn't think it should be there.

Do you work for snapple or something? What's with the fixation on iced tea?
.

I guess you don't get it, its a Southern thing. The collective "we" drink it with every meal and in between. Its a sign of hospitality to serve it. People you dont like are offered soft drinks.

Because, my dear, if Disney did not want you to drink while on vacation then they would not sell drinks at almost every single turn, with the exception of MK, and if it's good enough for Disney, it's good enough for me. So kindly go drink your yummy iced tea and I will continue to drink this delicious glass of wine with my dinner and we can all live happily ever after.

It is how everyone gets so defensive if you say anyplace should not have alcohol, it is like no one can enjoy a meal, a concert, a sporting event or anything unless they have alcohol, so yes I would say it is a need.
It is not necessarily the alcohol but rather the drunks that need to be banned. Disney ought to make anyone who appears wasted to take a breathalyzer and then kick them out of the park if they fail it.

I'll admit I more or less have been skimming responses but I didn't see anyone really get upset... I got upset at the continued clichéd generalizations but I've already address that and won't repeat myself.

You have to acknowledge the glaring difference between smoking and drinking you're ignoring.

People who smoke... Smoke. As in, you don't have a massive culture of one cigarette a week smokers who do it during a meal or some occasion as such. Smoking and drinking are drastically different categories.

If you go to any metropolitan area, there aren't hundreds if not thousands of establishments that sell hundreds of types of different cigarettes that people sit in stools and smoke 1-10 cigarettes at with other people. If you go to a sporting event, concert, or a play they aren't selling cigarettes to enjoy.

There's no arguing or denying the many dangers, and consequences of irresponsible drinking. But smoking and drinking are night and day. Drinking is almost entirely banned in public, you go somewhere for the intent to have a drink... People walk down the street and smoke and it's disgusting. Cigarettes smell and just their existence ruin other people's moment by the smell.

There's no such thing as unwanted second hand liver disease or intoxication with alcohol.

I drink maybe 4 drinks a month. Regularly go months at a time without a drink. I have no addiction or fixation on alcohol. The same is not the same for smoking. People who smoke are generally addicted and it's a very serious health risk.

Again, cannot stress enough I'd welcome the banning of alcohol but at every turn you're generalizing someone who likes the taste of alcohol into very unfair categories and stereotypes.

Dumbo wan't drunk. I think he was on some LSD. The king is having some nice grape juice, and that's root beer that Gaston's holding. ;)

Nice try. The clowns have a bottle of "the good stuff" which spills into Dumbo's barrel, King Stefan explicitly says that he and Hubert had been drinking wine when he wakes up from the spell (to which he attributes why he nodded off in the first place), and LeFou specifically states that it's beer.

I'm sorry if I mad you feel that way, because quite honestly you sound more like me. I also do on occasion have a drink, I just don't understand our culture in general where so many people think it has to be available everywhere, you have said you would care less if Disney world didn't have it , but so many people care and care deeply, I guess I just don't see the need everywhere, the nice sit meals at Disney, yes it is fine there, and in facr would be rather odd if there were no wine in the restraint in France or no Saki in Japan, I do think the outside quick service stands where thousands of kids pass by could stand to go, it is not people like you Im talking about. I once saw a drunk guy on a scooter at Epcot and thought , isn't this kind of like drunk driving he could hit someone or drive off into the lagoon and hurt himself bad, kids just don't need to see that.
