What would be the penalty for this one?

Nope, would rather not give them the hits.

Then you're deliberately shutting your mind on the subject, and therefore destroying your own opinion. Go take a look, at least. Then, you can talk.

Anyhow, these guys are impressive. Most impressive. The concept of "live UrbExing" wherein live refers to the fact that the venue is still "alive" is something I've never come across, mostly due to the obvious. The fact that they were doing it to document instead of screw around is something that's also gotta be considered. All in all, you can see some pretty masterful stuff here. They had to consider not leaving a trace that they were doing it, not being seen, and still getting some good videos.

You can't call them antisocial, or freaks, because there was nothing destructive about it. They put having this stuff for posterity over the possibility of being harmed. That's what makes them great.

I know all I need to know on the subject, reading their plans behind it won't make what they did any less wrong. Unless there's something on the site about how Disney gave them permission...

You call it "balls", I call it stupidity, move on.

Thank you Tigger1988 for backing me up.

Someone will get hurt someday then see what happens. These rides and shows that Disney gives us are to be enjoyed while sitting or standing in designated areas.

The attractions are best enjoyed the way they are designed with which ever ride system Disney has chosen. The so called cubby holes etc are probably linked to the escape areas for guest should the ride stop anyways.

Can not uderstand why people who do wrong things are given Hero status.

If you want to see an attraction in all its glory with detail look at Martins videos.

I guess to some that find these guys heroes also must find bank robbers, or anybody who robs the more wealthy people because they can't afford to buy something themselves as heroes too.

I guess they are modern day Robin Hoods who rob from the rich and giving to the poor.

Sorry but don't find anything about these guys did as impressive or to be proud of doing.

I really must side with Tigger1988 on this one.
People who violate the rules while at Disney while knowing very well that they're doing so really irk me. And to have such an immature, cocky attitude about it makes it even worse. They're not even just violating Disney's rules. They're smacking them in the face X(

I suppose I could understand the jealousy part and the "preserving every angle of the attraction" part, but overall, these guys are just immature rule-breakers, regardless of their purpose.
You start saluting guys like this, then it gets harder & harder to draw the line.

And yes, I did feel a touch of sympathy for Mr. Rooney ;P But that's beside the point.

As interesting to see it behind the scenes I dont really get a thrill, its like breaking into a house and taking video. Its private proberty and a work space for the disney cast. Like a house is our private living space thats their privats working space. I can see a huge house up the road and want to see what it is likeinside and maybe facinated by a video taken my the inside but it is still wrong and a violation against private property. I want to climb the fountain of nations and check out all the hardware or peak behind the curtains on spaceship earth but would never in my wildst dreams would I do that and I bet allot of you feel the same.

Exactly! I'd never actually DO it, but I'll be dipped if I'm not going to enjoy the results of guys who did.

And let's face it, by the time they were doing this hardcore, for hours at a time, taking pics of every little insignificant thing; Disney had basically abandoned the attraction. It was scheduled for closure and they just didn't care about it any more. If the MVT boys didn't do it, no one would.

Unlikely. All of today's dark rides either have pressure pads or are video monitored. A lot of them probably have both. If you step off a ride, it will E-stop and Security will be on you faster than fire ants on a Fudgesicle. If anyone gets hurt in the future, it'll be because they did something extremely foolhardy like jump between cars on the PeopleMover or some such thing.

Totally agree with you on this. I get to deal with "heroes" like this on a daily basis. The people that some people put up on a pedestal never ceases to amaze me.

As much as I have respect for the parks and it was trespassing it is a great tribute and verry intresting to watch. Some people do things like that just to show off and act like total idiots to look cool but it seems like they did it for horizons, everyone who loves horizons and maybe they were planning to make a documentry. They werent playing any games, they got footage, were serious about it, took pride in their footage and worked hard to shoot that footage. Its not like they jumped off the ride to moon the audience or do something funny to one of the props. They even respected the property. They probably knew it would be gone off the face of the earth. I really do enjoy watching those videos. They went far to get that video and then they shared it with us Horizons lovers.

Until their families sue Disney for their death (or injury). But I'm sure these urban "commandos" would never do such a thing.

I hope you've never made an illegal U-turn, drank underage, ripped the tag off a mattress, or used any description or account of a Major League Baseball game without the expressed, written consent of Major League Baseball.

To quote a wonderful movie... "Lighten up, Francis".

There is a difference. The only one I harm by drinking underage is ME. Btw in Germany Baseball plays no role what so ever and you are allowed to drink beer and wine at the age of 16, liquor etc. at the age of 18, so that was never a matter to me because I didn't even want to drink alcohol before I became 16.
But these a...holes are spoiling the experience for other guests (I don't want any idiots running through a scene when I am doing a ride, they are breaking park rules in a severe way (which shows they don't pay respect to rules in general, as I already said, antisocial, rude behaviour) and they are causing a security problem that is solved by designing and installing monitoring devices that make the construction of a ride more expensive.
No, I don't lighten up and I don't feel inclined to do it either. Not if it means to applaud to antisocial, immature a..holes, like these.

You obviously haven't seen their site. Learn about what they did before you attack... You're way off on what they did and how they did it.

Way to attack without having all the facts though. Good for you!

The only fact that is relevant is that they had to break the law to do what they did.

Yup.

If someone robs a bank (no, not comparing the two) but has really well thought out plans for doing so, and a really "good" reason for doing so...that doesn't make it right.

These guys are closer to Darwin Award winners than they are to Robin Hood.

Seriously, don't cry folks. It's all done and said now. And the rationale of these guys are like bank robbers; really? :veryconfu What did they steal? Jules Verne's chicken?

Not much for reading, huh?

First off nowhere did I compare their actions or their rationale to bank robbers. Which I explicitly stated, again, read.

Second, I was comparing my example to the arguments you and others are posing. "Oh read what they wrote, then you'll understand!!1111" The logic, planning and rationale behind it doesn't matter, no matter how you cut it they broke laws to do it.

Soooo... what law did they break exactly?
They may broken the contract implied by the admission ticket that a guest won't venture into unauthorized areas, but they didn't destroy property, and they didn't steal anything. So what exactly would they be charged with?
