What will Disney announce for Disney World at the 2022 D23 expo?

My gut tells me we're heading to the land of cool new awesome stuff... with accompanying insane pricing (and pricing schemes).
It's clear that they've fully committed to being a premium offering. Which should mean significant investments with hefty price tags. Heck, just being able to charge $15-20 per person to skip an individual ride softens the blow to the budget when building an attraction.

Let me know if I'm missing anything major. I wouldn't expect more than 10% of the mentioned things even to be acknowledged, but I want at least 95% of the announced things to be on this list.
Still can't believe their ditching the proposed/prev-announced mini Star Wars land and ROTR for WDS in WDPR. That park really deserves an attraction like that.

They may end up getting a FoP-like attraction instead according to rumors, but alas.

Honestly, if they built Rise alongside Star Tours in the main park and turned it into a mini-land with a cantina, I would be happy. The main park needs a killer ride just as badly, and that could be done a lot easier with a similar effect.

Cloning a small Galaxy's Edge isn't a huge win; cloning Rise was a huge win. Rise packaged differently is still the same incredible ride.

We'll see what they choose to replace it with. If it's something big and grand that serves the same purpose, then no harm, no foul.

Id love to see a fully realized IJ and the lost Expedition get dusted off and built in DHS or DSP. GIve either/each of those parks a Temple of Forbidden Eye, Jungle Cruise like water ride, Minecart coaster, and the cherry on top, a camp discovery style rope course around the land on ruinous temple remains that cloak the showbuilding

Also I think the 2 parks should offer different experiences but also some overlap of course. I kinda like giving one of the parks something major and a smaller experience in the other if applicable

build a major IJ land in Paris, and you can still have a smaller IJ experience in DHS with the show. along with DL and TDS
build a major Marvel land in DHS and you can still have a smaller Marvel experience in Paris. along with CA
I love Star Wars, and if you love Star Wars there is a park on each coast of USA that provides a major SW experience

Id love the 3rd expansion around the lake to be something exclusive and unique with at least 2 attractions

And HWS being as overcrowded as it is absolutely needs a new land. It needs to be large and lush with plenty of shade and wide walkways. It could even be done cheaper since mostly trees is not expensive like building massive facades. I feel like it'll be Indy, so if those three projects happen, plus toss in a Stitch replacement over the next 4 years, that's a success IMO. I feel like it'll happen too since they want to massively increase prices.
As much as I do think reworking the Echo Lake area into a more fully realized Indiana Jones land makes sense given the new remit of the park, I feel it would be wiser to focus on the Animation Courtyard first. It's pulling pretty much zero weight for the park at the moment, so closing it for an overhaul doesn't really negatively impact existing capacity and, if built wisely, could give them the flexibility they need to close other areas for rework in the future.

I have no insider information, but I feel people's expectations are well out here.

I expect updates on current projects and some entertainment bits, such as bringing back Fantasmic and packaging it as new, for example.

I’m keeping my expectations low, especially with the absence of leaks. The pandemic definitely backed Disney up when it comes to new projects. The closest to anything “new” I would guess are confirmations that Avengers E-Ticket and Mary Poppins are still on the table. And if anything brand new were to be announced, I’d imagine it would be something inevitably coming within the next year that would also be easy to do, like RNRC retheme.

They’ll definitely talk Fantasmic though.

Funny how the pandemic didn't back Universal up for new things.

I think there’s enough smoke from inside sources that some things are going to be announced D23. Maybe that’s just bringing stuff back to the table like the Avengers Eticket at DCA (and Paris?), Poppins in Epcot and the MK Theater. They will certainly provide some updates on existing projects and maybe some entertainment changes. But I sense that at least some new things might be announced, most likely something for DAK - especially with PW being removed and that space vacant.

I’m keeping my expectations low though and that anything new, if announced, won’t be anything ground breaking.
