What will Disney announce for Disney World at the 2022 D23 expo?

There newest fast n furious ride sucks. But I think they should gone all out with a fnf land. Imagine an RSR style ride but with fnf theme anchoring it. It could be a lot like cars land but with the fnf spin. Fnf is a major MO ey making franchise and could support an entire land. But after the last ride it's highly unlikely

From someone on a Disney Parks forum??? 😭

Not a very appropriate thing to say
I have been on this forum a very long time. My views have changed tremendously regarding the parks. My interest in the parks have always been on the engineering side but Disney had a special feel about it especially it's original ideas.

Same reason I wouldn't be caught dead at a character meal or pay an additional fee for an after hours party to meet Jack skelington.

Here are my educated guess predictions for announcements after reading a lot of blog posts and rumors:

- Mary Poppins attraction re-announced
- Play Pavilion re-announced
- Spaceship Earth changes detailed
- replacement for DinoLand teased but not much revealed.
- Something new for Galaxy's Edge teased
- Avatar Pandora expansion announced (new movies coming out over the next few years)
- Something huge teased for Magic Kingdom but not coming till 2024/25 at the earliest.

Basically I think this is Disney's big chance to over promise and eventually under deliver in order to steal hype from Epic Universe. DSNY Newscast just did a good video talking at length about how Disney will need to answer in a pretty big way. I feel this is there chance because the next D23 isn't until 2024 when Epic Universe will be about to open.

If I were inside the Universal gates, I would ride every ride and see every show. But I need a compelling reason to buy a ticket in the first place.
Well not that you have to trust me but I didn't go there for about 23 years. I was blown away by the attractions, as a chicken, who isn't into coasters. Yes there's a bunch of flops, and the biggest being fast and furious. IMO the worst theme park attraction ever. That's a huge black eye.. like I have said numerous times, Potter is... Not my cup of tea, nor the robes everywhere proclaiming they're Slytherin or whatever.. If you have the ability to separate the fandom from the art of theme park design, you cannot possibly be let down.

The irony of silly people who talk about how they have the right to an opinion that people who disagree with their opinion are silly.
I love Pollo tropical..
My father in law (who is scared to death of any food that is not extremely bland or "ethnic")hates pollo tropical, when it's served to him in a pollo tropical bag. He hated it before he even tried it, and as luck would have it made the face of a toddler when he actually tried it..

My father in law loved my grilled chicken I made for our family one time..

Spoiler alert, I didn't make that grilled chicken.

I remember the buildup to the last several D23 events here. Rumors flying everywhere, insiders dropping hints, and new accounts with mountain of salt needed prognostications. It seems like crickets this time, which means one of three things…..
1. Insiders lost their sources (unlikely).
2. Insiders just don’t care anymore (possible).
3. We aren’t getting anything of substance that isn’t already known (most likely).

imo, ymmv, batteries not included, etc etc.

To my recollection d23 is typically just confirming whet we've already learned from people on this forum..

Correct, but the buildup here seems different this time. The usual folks that drop hints and possible plans are very quiet. Can you name a project of substance that will be announced that has been talked about here in the last couple of months? I may be missing something, but I can’t.

I cannot name one.. I haven't been glued to the forum, but I haven't been absent for months as I have in the past.. I think that's very telling that the biggest rumors are just scrapped projects from prior years.

This forum lost most of its insiders, from what I remember reading a while back.

I agree with the first 6 but suspect with Tron being delayed so long it’ll push back any new rides for MK until at least 2026 or 2027, I think they’ll market Tron as the new ride for at least 2-3 years.

I ‘d also add quite a bit of time devoted to the Epcot hub as if that’s a new addition, it sort of is but we’ve already known about it for half a decade so it’s not exactly new new.

The two parks have some of the best theme park attractions and themed immersion anywhere?
I loathe the Warner Brothers version of the Harry Potter universe with the passion of a thousand fiery suns. I would pay money to not experience them.

If the rest of Uni was themed like WWoHP, I'd be all over it, despite not caring about the IP. It's the IP that I specifically hate that's the problem.

I guess I'm not following.. is it the movies that you despise and still don't want to see the HP lands? Do you like JK Rowling and just don't want to go because their interpretation of her work?

I'm neutral on the books. Loved 1-4, meh on 5 and 6, and hated Deathly Hallows.
I'm unfamiliar with every book.. my ex was into her books and I guess that why I didn't care for it for.... Ever... But nostalgia for last time I was able to spend with my grandmother at universal made me want to go. Admittedly the only thing I remembered from that long ago was nickelodeon studios, back to the future and ET.

Clearly the only thing left is ET. It's nothing special but if Peter Pan warrants an hour plus wait, ET is worth 2.

Like I have said before, I don't care for Potter but the attention to the lands is top notch. I can't walk in there and not be in awe of work that was put into it.

I get that exact feeling from Pandora, and to a lesser extent batuu with the exception of ronto wraps... Those are pretty amazing...
