what was the worst food you had in Disney?

I can be pretty critical of most any food, but very rarely do I call something horrible or disgusting.

Cape May is both horrible and disgusting. Damn near eveything on the buffet, including desserts, were just plan bad.

Breakfast or dinner? We loved the dinner we had there in December, without exception! Different strokes...

The worst meal I ever had at Disney World was a room service pizza at the Caribbean Beach Resort back in 2000. It might have been something like extra cheese and jalapeno peppers. Just terrible. So bad that when I mentioned this thread to my wife it was the first thing she thought of as well.

So has the food quality gone down in years?? I been to many locations and it was not bad, not the greatest but not bad.

I'm wondering if i should not get the DDP....

Okay this worries me because I just booked a reservation for Sci Fi. Well, maybe it won't happen to me because I don't eat meat, but still.. Eh, I'll get a veggie burger :p
Nobody can be that bad on a regular basis and not have zillions of complaints. I just got a meal that was horrible. It had to have sat under the lights too long, because there is no way anyone could have put the burger on the bun in the condition it was in when I received it. The bun was literally turning into crumbs when I attempted to lift it. I tried a second time, very gently, lifting from the parts remaining and they crumbled, as well. But someone managed to manipulate the bun before me.

I'm sure your meal will be better! It couldn't be worse, lol.

And the restauarant is a fun experience. :)

Love a little Disney every day!! ;)
Hands down the "lobster roll" at Columbia Harbour House at MK. The menu pictures a great looking traditional lobster roll and what they serve is a thin sandwich on regular sliced brown bread with a tasteless lobster paste. It's the only really bad dining experience I've had on my many trips so it's a real stand out.
Hmmm that's odd because we had one on our last trip Dec 2012 and it was really good and came out looking like the picture as well. Was in a roll type if bread not just plain bread like you mentioned. We plan in going back to have one in Dec again. Maybe they improved it since you have had one. :)

Take all of these comments about Sci-Fi with a grain of salt. We have been twice and enjoyed out meal both times. I always get the Shrimp (or chicken)Pasta (and I'm picky about my pasta) and I love it. My hubby enjoys the burgers as well, and the shakes and deserts are really good too. Don't be afraid to at least try it and if your family doesn't like something then you know for next time. The atmosphere is really cool too. Worth going at least once. :)

We always still enjoy pretty much all of our meals. Alot of our best Disney memories are the food and can't wait until we go back in Dec again. Went last Dec also. We love the dinning plan as it just makes things easier and enjoy prepaying for everything. You will always have some places you may not fully love the food but then there is many meals you can't wait to go back and have again. Disney food in our opinion is still much better than any chain restaurants, food you may choose to go eat elsewhere while staying in the world by far!! Well worh it in our opinion. :)

I had it in Oct 2012 and maybe they have improved it since then. I live in the Hamptons so I have had some amazing lobster rolls and the one they served looked nothing like the one pictured in the menu. I will check when I go back to WDW in Oct 2013. Thanks....

I hate to tell you to try it again and you get the same thing. Lol. ESP that you are from the Hamptons as I'm sure there is alot better quality rolls there! Maybe when you go in stroll around and try to see what it looks like if its any different. Lol the flavor to me regardless of what it looked like was pretty tasty. We down here make a crab salad that is very similiar to a lobster rolls ingredients. I found it Close to how we make ours but with lobster instead if crab. If you do decide to try it again I hope you enjoy it better this time. :)

I always take these kinds of reviews with a grain of salt; that said, the ABC commissary burger was just ok, not great, not bad. The line was too long and there wasn't enough variety on the menu. DHS does not have good CS options in my opinion.

I am actually looking forward to eating at Sci-Fi for the first time though.

Worst food I had at WDW? Tried the Shepherds pie at Raglan Road, didn't like it but I would not say it was bad, just not what I expected. I usually have good luck with just about everything I eat- and I tend to be adventurous.

FYI we never liked much counter service at HS either until we tried the Truffle Mac and cheese hot dog meal at Fairfax Fair. It is a QS credit and comes with chips. Very large portion. Loved the roll it was on too. My favorite hot dog now in the world even surpassing Casey's!! If you have not tried it try it he next time you are there. :)

The generic Disney breakfast. You know the Eggbeaters, plastic tasting bacon, spongey Mickey waffle and flavorless waffle. Found at any level resort.

After that would be the worst burgers ever at Pecos Bill and Cosmic Rays.

And last visit to Pecos Bills it was absolutely filthy.

When I had it last year it was served on a hot dog type bun with plenty of lobster.

Everything on every visit at Crystal Palace. My last trip was with my girlfriends and they begged me to go (first time to WDW and big Pooh and Eeyore fans). It took up a dining credit but thank goodness I didn't have to fork over cash. It was typical from my previous Crystal Palace experiences:

  • No meat available because it wasn't ready yet (for our entire 90 minute meal)
  • Two bowls of wilted soggy lettuce with a spattering of veggies
  • Pasta salad that was very soupy
  • Soup with a layer of scum on top
  • Burnt cookies
We filled up on couscous and scraped the blackened bottoms off the cookies and nibbled on those. We met Piglet twice and all of the other characters stayed on the opposite side of the restaurant. Once they finished with that side they went backstage, then came out and instead of starting where they left off they started at the first table on the other side again...this happened every time. The people to the right of the buffet saw each character 3 times...we just sat there scraping cookies. I asked my server if we could just get one picture before we left and she rushed us to the other side of the restaurant and we got one photo with the characters which was nice but not worth crappy food and 90 minutes.

This was my girlfriends very first experience at Disney and I kept apologizing because it was so awful. I tried to look on the bright side, though. The good thing about doing CP first is that it's only going to get better from there.
